¹¹ And the Lord said to him: Arise and go into the street that is called Strait and seek in the house of Judas, one named Saul of Tarsus. For behold he prayeth. ¹² (And he saw a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hands upon him, that he might receive his sight.) ¹³ But Ananias answered: Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints in Jerusalem. ¹⁴ And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that invoke thy name. ¹⁵ And the Lord said to him: Go thy way: for this man is to me a vessel of election, to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel. ¹⁶ For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

¹⁴ Is any man sick among you? Let him bring in the priests of the church and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. ¹⁵ And the prayer of faith shall save the sick man. And the Lord shall raise him up: and if he be in sins, they shall be forgiven him.

¹³ But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame and the blind. ¹⁴ And thou shalt be blessed, because they have not wherewith to make thee recompense: for recompense shall be made thee at the resurrection of the just. ¹⁵ When one of them that sat at table with him had heard these things, he said to him: Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.

¹⁰ To whom, when Paul had gone down, he laid himself upon him and, embracing him, said: Be not troubled, for his soul is in him.

⁶ But Peter said: Silver and gold I have none; but what I have, I give thee. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, arise and walk. ⁷ And taking him by the right hand, he lifted him up: and forthwith his feet and soles received strength. ⁸ And he leaping up, stood and walked and went in with them into the temple, walking and leaping and praising God. ⁹ And all the people saw him walking and praising God. ¹⁰ And they knew him, that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened to him.

⁴ Having first shewn that you are forgers of lies, and maintainers of perverse opinions.

⁶ Give strong drink to them that are sad; and wine to them that are grieved in mind: ⁷ Let them drink, and forget their want, and remember their sorrow no more.

²⁵ And a woman who was under an issue of blood twelve years, ²⁶ And had suffered many things from many physicians; and had spent all that she had, and was nothing the better, but rather worse,

¹³ For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast protected me from my mother's womb. ¹⁴ I will praise thee, for thou art fearfully magnified: wonderful are thy works, and my soul knoweth right well. ¹⁵ My bone is not hidden from thee, which thou hast made in secret: and my substance in the lower parts of the earth. ¹⁶ Thy eyes did see my imperfect being, and in thy book all shall be written: days shall be formed, and no one in them.

¹¹ And God wrought by the hand of Paul more than common miracles. ¹² So that even there were brought from his body to the sick, handkerchiefs and aprons: and the diseases departed from them: and the wicked spirits went out of them.

¹⁷ And it came to pass on a certain day, as he sat teaching, that there were also Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, that were come out of every town of Galilee and Judea and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was to heal them.

²² Is there no balm in Galaad? or is there no physician there? Why then is not the wound of the daughter of my people closed?

¹² But Jesus hearing it, said: They that are in health need not a physician, but they that are ill.

¹⁷ Jesus hearing this, saith to them: They that are well have no need of a physician, but they that are sick. For I came not to call the just, but sinners.
