⁸ And Moses said: In the evening the Lord will give you flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full: for he hath heard your murmurings, with which you have murmured against him, for what are we? your murmuring is not against us, but against the Lord.

⁷ According to the multitude of them, so have they sinned against me: I will change their glory into shame.

²³ For the wages of sin is death. But the grace of God, life everlasting in Christ Jesus our Lord.

²⁵ He that boasteth and puffeth up himself, stirreth up quarrels: but he that trusteth in the Lord, shall be healed.

⁶ But godliness with contentment is great gain. ⁷ For we brought nothing into this world: and certainly we can carry nothing out. ⁸ But having food and wherewith to be covered, with these we are content. ⁹ For they that will become rich fall into temptation and into the snare of the devil and into many unprofitable and hurtful desires, which drown men into destruction and perdition.

¹⁰ For which cause I please myself in my infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ. For when I am weak, then am I powerful.

⁵ Let your manners be without covetousness, contented with such things as you have. For he hath said: I will not leave thee: neither will I forsake thee.
