¹ Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the wicked, and standeth not in the way of sinners, and sitteth not in the seat of scorners; ² But his delight is in Jehovah`s law, and in his law doth he meditate day and night. ³ And he [is] as a tree planted by brooks of water, which giveth its fruit in its season, and whose leaf fadeth not; and all that he doeth prospereth. ⁴ The wicked are not so; but are as the chaff which the wind driveth away. ⁵ Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. ⁶ For Jehovah knoweth the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.

²³ Whatsoever ye do, labour at it heartily, as [doing it] to the Lord, and not to men;

¹⁷ that the man of God may be complete, fully fitted to every good work.

¹³ And for this cause we also give thanks to God unceasingly that, having received [the] word of [the] report of God by us, ye accepted, not men`s word, but, even as it is truly, God`s word, which also works in you who believe.

²⁰ knowing this first, that [the scope of] no prophecy of scripture is had from its own particular interpretation, ²¹ for prophecy was not ever uttered by [the] will of man, but holy men of God spake under the power of [the] Holy Spirit.

² Here, further, it is sought in stewards, that a man be found faithful. ³ But for me it is the very smallest matter that I be examined of you or of man`s day. Nor do I even examine myself. ⁴ For I am conscious of nothing in myself; but I am not justified by this: but he that examines me is the Lord.

¹² For the word of God [is] living and operative, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and penetrating to [the] division of soul and spirit, both of joints and marrow, and a discerner of the thoughts and intents of [the] heart.

¹⁰ He that is faithful in the least is faithful also in much; and he that is unrighteous in the least is unrighteous also in much.

¹⁶ Every scripture [is] divinely inspired, and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction in righteousness;
