²⁸ For which of you, desirous of building a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, if he have what [is needed] to complete it;

¹⁷ So if any one [be] in Christ, [there is] a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold all things have become new:

¹ {To the chief Musician. Of the sons of Korah. On Alamoth. A song.} God is our refuge and strength, a help in distresses, very readily found.

¹ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the compassions of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, [which is] your intelligent service. ² And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of [your] mind, that ye may prove what [is] the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

²⁵ Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop; but a good word maketh it glad.

¹⁰ The thief comes not but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I am come that they might have life, and might have [it] abundantly.

⁵ Confide in Jehovah with all thy heart, and lean not unto thine own intelligence; ⁶ in all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will make plain thy paths.

¹⁶ Behold, *I* send you as sheep in the midst of wolves; be therefore prudent as the serpents, and guileless as the doves.

²⁸ But we *do* know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to purpose.

¹³ No temptation has taken you but such as is according to man`s nature; and God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what ye are able [to bear], but will with the temptation make the issue also, so that [ye] should be able to bear [it].

¹⁵ But if thy brother sin against thee, go, reprove him between thee and him alone. If he hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. ¹⁶ But if he do not hear [thee], take with thee one or two besides, that every matter may stand upon the word of two witnesses or of three. ¹⁷ But if he will not listen to them, tell it to the assembly; and if also he will not listen to the assembly, let him be to thee as one of the nations and a tax-gatherer.

³³ These things have I spoken to you that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye have tribulation; but be of good courage: I have overcome the world.
