¹⁰ Ye that love Jehovah, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints, he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

⁵ Confide in Jehovah with all thy heart, and lean not unto thine own intelligence; ⁶ in all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will make plain thy paths.

⁷ But in vain do they worship me, teaching [as their] teachings commandments of men.

³¹ Jesus therefore said to the Jews who believed him, If ye abide in my word, ye are truly my disciples; ³² and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.

⁴⁶ And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things that I say?

⁴⁸ He that rejects me and does not receive my words, has him who judges him: the word which I have spoken, that shall judge him in the last day.

⁷ having cast all your care upon him, for he cares about you. ⁸ Be vigilant, watch. Your adversary [the] devil as a roaring lion walks about seeking whom he may devour.

⁴ He that says, I know him, and does not keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;

⁶ These have power to shut the heaven that no rain may fall during the days of their prophecy; and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood, and to smite the earth as often as they will with every plague. ⁷ And when they shall have completed their testimony, the beast who comes up out of the abyss shall make war with them, and shall conquer them, and shall kill them:

⁸ Again the devil takes him to a very high mountain, and shews him all the kingdoms of the world, and their glory, ⁹ and says to him, All these things will I give thee if, falling down, thou wilt do me homage.

⁶ Jesus says to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father unless by me.

³ For walking in flesh, we do not war according to flesh. ⁴ For the arms of our warfare [are] not fleshly, but powerful according to God to [the] overthrow of strongholds; ⁵ overthrowing reasonings and every high thing that lifts itself up against the knowledge of God, and leading captive every thought into the obedience of the Christ;

⁹ Behold, I make them of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews, and are not, but lie; behold, I will cause that they shall come and shall do homage before thy feet, and shall know that *I* have loved thee.

¹² because our struggle is not against blood and flesh, but against principalities, against authorities, against the universal lords of this darkness, against spiritual [power] of wickedness in the heavenlies.

¹¹ and do not have fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather also reprove [them],

¹⁹ We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the wicked [one].

⁴ For certain men have got in unnoticed, they who of old were marked out beforehand to this sentence, ungodly [persons], turning the grace of our God into dissoluteness, and denying our only Master and Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁴ for they are [the] spirits of demons, doing signs; which go out to the kings of the whole habitable world to gather them together to the war of [that] great day of God the Almighty.

²² For false Christs and false prophets will arise, and give signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
