¹³ As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, [so] is a faithful messenger to them that send him: for he refresheth the soul of his masters.

²³ His lord said to him, Well, good and faithful bondman, thou wast faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

¹² but he who serves for wages, and who is not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf seizes them and scatters the sheep.

⁴ for it is God`s minister to thee for good. But if thou practisest evil, fear; for it bears not the sword in vain; for it is God`s minister, an avenger for wrath to him that does evil.

⁹ And, masters, do the same things towards them, giving up threatening, knowing that both their and your Master is in heaven, and there is no acceptance of persons with him.

¹⁰ For also when we were with you we enjoined you this, that if any man does not like to work, neither let him eat.

¹³ Thou shalt not oppress thy neighbour, neither rob him. The wages of the hired servant shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.

¹ A false balance is an abomination to Jehovah; but a just weight is his delight.

⁵ And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against the false swearers, and against those that oppress the hired servant in [his] wages, the widow and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger [from his right], and fear not me, saith Jehovah of hosts.

¹⁰ He that is faithful in the least is faithful also in much; and he that is unrighteous in the least is unrighteous also in much.

⁵ Bondmen, obey masters according to flesh, with fear and trembling, in simplicity of your heart as to the Christ; ⁶ not with eye-service as men-pleasers; but as bondmen of Christ, doing the will of God from [the] soul, ⁷ serving with good will as to the Lord, and not to men; ⁸ knowing that whatever good each shall do, this he shall receive of [the] Lord, whether bond or free. ⁹ And, masters, do the same things towards them, giving up threatening, knowing that both their and your Master is in heaven, and there is no acceptance of persons with him.

¹⁸ for the scripture says, Thou shalt not muzzle an ox that treadeth out corn, and, The workman [is] worthy of his hire.

¹⁶ He that oppresseth the poor, it is to enrich him; he that giveth to the rich, [bringeth] only to want.

¹ Masters, give to bondmen what is just and fair, knowing that *ye* also have a Master in [the] heavens.

²² Bondmen, obey in all things your masters according to flesh; not with eye-services, as men-pleasers, but in simplicity of heart, fearing the Lord. ²³ Whatsoever ye do, labour at it heartily, as [doing it] to the Lord, and not to men; ²⁴ knowing that of [the] Lord ye shall receive the recompense of the inheritance; ye serve the Lord Christ. ²⁵ For he that does a wrong shall receive the wrong he has done, and there is no respect of persons.

⁴ Now to him that works the reward is not reckoned as of grace, but of debt:

⁴ Behold, the wages of your labourers, who have harvested your fields, wrongfully kept back by you, cry, and the cries of those that have reaped are entered into the ears of [the] Lord of sabaoth.

²³ Whatsoever ye do, labour at it heartily, as [doing it] to the Lord, and not to men;
