¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whosoever believes on him may not perish, but have life eternal.

³¹ but these are written that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing ye might have life in his name.

⁵ Every word of +God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

¹⁴ And the apostles who were in Jerusalem, having heard that Samaria had received the word of God, sent to them Peter and John; ¹⁵ who, having come down, prayed for them that they might receive [the] Holy Spirit; ¹⁶ for he was not yet fallen upon any of them, only they were baptised to the name of the Lord Jesus. ¹⁷ Then they laid their hands upon them, and they received [the] Holy Spirit.

⁶ For which cause I put thee in mind to rekindle the gift of God which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
