¹⁰ that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of heavenly and earthly and infernal [beings], ¹¹ and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord to God [the] Father`s glory.

¹⁴ But if any one obey not our word by the letter, mark that man, and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed of himself;

¹⁷ Let the elders who take the lead [among the saints] well be esteemed worthy of double honour, specially those labouring in word and teaching;

¹⁸ Servants, [be] subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered. ¹⁹ For this [is] acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly. ²⁰ For what glory [is it], if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear [it]? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear [it], this is acceptable with God.

¹⁹ Behold, I give you the power of treading upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall in anywise injure you.

¹⁷ Obey your leaders, and be submissive; for *they* watch over your souls as those that shall give account; that they may do this with joy, and not groaning, for this [would be] unprofitable for you.

⁹ Whosoever goes forward and abides not in the doctrine of the Christ has not God. He that abides in the doctrine, *he* has both the Father and the Son.

²⁹ But Peter answering, and the apostles, said, God must be obeyed rather than men.

¹ Let every soul be subject to the authorities that are above [him]. For there is no authority except from God; and those that exist are set up by God.

¹⁸ And Jesus coming up spoke to them, saying, All power has been given me in heaven and upon earth.
