³⁴ Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say to you, Every one that practises sin is the bondman of sin.

¹⁶ To deliver thee from the strange woman, from the stranger who flattereth with her words; ¹⁷ who forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God; ¹⁸ -- for her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead; ¹⁹ none that go unto her return again, neither do they attain to the paths of life: ²⁰ -- that thou mayest walk in the way of the good, and keep the paths of the righteous. ²¹ For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it; ²² but the wicked shall be cut off from the land, and the unfaithful shall be plucked up out of it.

¹⁸ Flee fornication. Every sin which a man may practise is without the body, but he that commits fornication sins against his own body.

³ For walking in flesh, we do not war according to flesh. ⁴ For the arms of our warfare [are] not fleshly, but powerful according to God to [the] overthrow of strongholds; ⁵ overthrowing reasonings and every high thing that lifts itself up against the knowledge of God, and leading captive every thought into the obedience of the Christ;

²⁵ Husbands, love your own wives, even as the Christ also loved the assembly, and has delivered himself up for it,

²⁸ But *I* say unto you, that every one who looks upon a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

¹³ He that covereth his transgressions shall not prosper; but whoso confesseth and forsaketh [them] shall obtain mercy.

³² But *I* say unto you, that whosoever shall put away his wife, except for cause of fornication, makes her commit adultery, and whosoever marries one that is put away commits adultery.

⁴ [Let] marriage [be held] every way in honour, and the bed [be] undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers will God judge.
