5 Likewyse ye yoger submytte youre selues vnto the elder. Submytte youre selues euery man one to another, and knyt yor selues together in lowlynes of mynde. For God resisteth the proude, but geueth grace to the humble. 6 Submytte yor selues therfore vnder the mightie hande of God, that he maye exalte you whan the tyme is come. 7 Cast all youre care on him, for he careth for you.
18 O what greate troubles & aduersite hast thou shewed me? & yet didest thou turne & refresh me, yee & broughtest me from the depe of the earth agayne.
9 Geue a discrete man but an occasion, & he wilbe the wyser: teach a rightuous man, and he wil increase.
8 euen so had we hartely affeccion towarde you, and wolde with good wyl haue dealte vnto you, not onely the Gospell of God, but oure lyues also, because ye were deare vnto vs.
3 And the elder wemen likewyse that they shewe them selues as it becommeth holynes, that they be no false accusers, not geuen to moch wyne, that they teach honest thinges,
6 Yf thou teachest a childe in his youth what waye he shulde go, he shall not leaue it when he is olde.
4 One generacion shal prayse thy workes vnto another, and declare thy power.

17 Like as one yro whetteth another, so doth one man comforte another.
3 And the elder wemen likewyse that they shewe them selues as it becommeth holynes, that they be no false accusers, not geuen to moch wyne, that they teach honest thinges, 4 that they enfourme the yonge wemen to be sober mynded, to loue their hussbandes, to loue their childre, 5 to be discrete, chaste, husswyfly, good, obedient vnto their awne hussbandes, that the worde of God be not euell spoken of.
