¹ Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying to them. ² Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, These are the animals which you may eat of all the beasts which are on the land. ³ Every one bisecting the hoof and cleaving the cleft of the hooves and bringing up the cud among beasts, you may eat it. ⁴ Only this is what you may not eat of those bringing up the cud or bisecting the hoof:the camel (for it is bringing up the cud yet is not bisecting the hoof; it is unclean for you), ⁵ the coney, (for it is bringing up the cud yet is not bisecting the hoof; it is unclean for you), ⁶ the hare, (for it is bringing up the cud yet does not bisect the hoof; it is unclean for you), ⁷ and the boar, (for it is bisecting the hoof and is cleaving the cleft of the hoof, yet it is not stirring up the cud; it is unclean for you). ⁸ Of their flesh you may not eat, and their carcass you may not touch; they are unclean for you. ⁹ This is what you may eat of all those which are in the waters:all that have fins and scales in the waters, in the seas and in the watercourses, you may eat them. ¹⁰ Yet all that have no fins or scales in the waters, in the seas and in the watercourses of every swarmer of the waters, of any living soul which is in the waters, they are an abomination to you. ¹¹ Since they shall come to be an abomination for you, you may not eat of their flesh, and you shall regard their carcass as abominable. ¹² All that has no fins or scales in the waters, it is an abomination to you. ¹³ These you shall regard as abominable among the flyers; they shall not be eaten; they are an abomination:the vulture, the bearded vulture and the eagle, ¹⁴ the black kite and the falcon, all of its kind, ¹⁵ every raven, all of its kind, ¹⁶ the ostrich, the screech owl, the gull and the hawk, all of its kind, ¹⁷ the little owl, the cormorant and the eagle owl, ¹⁸ the ibis, the pelican and the Egyptian vulture, ¹⁹ the stork, the heron, all of its kind, the hoopoe and the bat. ²⁰ Every swarmer of the flyers going on all fours, it is an abomination to you. ²¹ Only this one you may eat of every swarmer of the flyers, the one going on all fours which has shanks above its feet to hop with them on the land. ²² These of them may you eat:the locust, all of its kind, the bald locust, all of its kind, the cricket, all of its kind, and the grasshopper, all of its kind. ²³ Yet every other swarmer of the flyers which has four feet, it is an abomination to you. ²⁴ Also you are defiling yourselves with these:(Everyone touching their carcass shall be unclean until the evening; ²⁵ everyone carrying some of their carcass shall rinse his garments and will be unclean until the evening.) ²⁶ As for every beast which is bisecting the hoof, yet the cleft it is not cleaving, and the cud it is not bringing up:they are unclean to you. Everyone touching them shall be unclean. ²⁷ And everything going on its soles among all the animals going on all fours, they are unclean to you. Everyone touching their carcass shall be unclean until the evening;" ²⁸ and the one carrying their carcass shall rinse his garments and will be unclean until the evening. They are unclean to you. ²⁹ This is unclean to you among the swarmers swarming on the land:the weasel, the rodent and the great lizard, all of its kind, ³⁰ the gecko, the monitor, the lizard, the sand lizard and the chameleon. ³¹ These are unclean to you among all the swarmers. Everyone touching them in their death shall be unclean until the evening. ³² And everything on which any of them should fall in their death shall be unclean; from every article of wood or garment or leather or sackcloth, to every article in which work is done, into water shall it be brought, and it will be unclean until the evening; then it will be clean. ³³ Yet every earthenware vessel into the midst of which any of them should fall, all that is in its midst shall be unclean, and you shall break it. ³⁴ Any food which may otherwise be eaten on which such water should come shall be unclean; and any drink which may otherwise be drunk in any such vessel shall be unclean. ³⁵ Also everything on which some of their carcass should fall shall be unclean; a stove or an oven shall be broken down. They are unclean; they shall become unclean to you. ³⁶ Only a spring or cistern, a confluence of water, shall remain clean. Yet the one touching their carcass shall be unclean. ³⁷ In case anything from their carcass should fall on any sowing seed which was sown, it shall be clean;" ³⁸ yet in case water was put on the seed and anything from their carcass fell on it, it shall be unclean to you. ³⁹ In case any of the beasts which is yours for food dies, the one touching any of its carcass shall be unclean until the evening. ⁴⁰ And the one eating any of its carcass shall rinse his garments and will be unclean until the evening. Also the one carrying any of its carcass shall rinse his garments and will be unclean until the evening. ⁴¹ Any swarmer swarming on the land, it is an abomination; it shall not be eaten. ⁴² All going on the torso and all going on all fours, even all on many pairs of feet of any swarmer swarming on the land, you may not eat them, for they are an abomination. ⁴³ Do not make your souls abominable with any swarming swarmer, nor shall you defile yourselves with them, or you will be unclean by them. ⁴⁴ For I, Yahweh, am your Elohim, so you will sanctify yourselves and become holy, for I am holy. Hence you shall not defile your souls with any swarmer moving on the land. ⁴⁵ For I, Yahweh, am the One bringing you up from the land of Egypt, to be your Elohim; so become holy, for I am holy. ⁴⁶ This is the law about the beast, the flyer and every living soul moving in the water and about every soul swarming on the land, ⁴⁷ to differentiate between the unclean and the clean, between the animal which may be eaten and the animal which may not be eaten.

¹⁷ Better a ration of greens when love is there Than a battened ox when hatred is with it.

²⁵ Then a wolf and a lambkin will graze alike, and the lion, as the beeve, will eat crushed straw, and the serpent has soil for its bread. They will not do evil, nor ruin in all My holy mountain,says Yahweh."

¹⁴ And I say, `Ah, Lord Yahweh, lo, my soul is not defiled, and carcase, and torn thing, I have not eaten from my youth, even till now; nor come into my mouth has abominable flesh.'"

¹¹ Not that which is entering into the mouth is contaminating a man, but that which is going out of the mouth, this is contaminating a man."

¹ Now the infirm in the faith be taking to yourselves, but not for discrimination of reasonings." ² One, indeed, is believing to eat all things, yet the infirm one is eating greens." ³ Let not him who is eating be scorning him who is not eating. Yet let not him who is not eating be judging him who is eating, for God took him to Himself."

⁶ He who is disposed to the day, is disposed to it to the Lord; and he who is eating, is eating to the Lord, for he is thanking God. And he who is not eating, to the Lord is not eating, and is thanking God."

¹ Now the spirit is saying explicitly, that in subsequent eras some will be withdrawing from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and the teachings of demons, ² in the hypocrisy of false expressions, their own conscience having been cauterized;" ³ forbidding to marry, abstaining from foods, which God creates to be partaken of with thanksgiving by those who believe and realize the truth, ⁴ seeing that every creature of God is ideal and nothing is to be cast away, being taken with thanksgiving,

⁴ Yea, only flesh with its soul, its blood, you shall not eat.

⁶ Then the wolf will sojourn with the he-lamb, and the leopard will recline with the kid. And the calf and the sheltered lion will graze together, and a small lad will lead among them." ⁷ And the young cow and the bear will graze together, and together they will recline their young. And the lion, as the beeve, will eat crushed straw." ⁸ And the sucking will revel over the hole of a cobra, and on the light-shaft of a yellow viper the weanling his hand obtrudes." ⁹ They will not do evil, nor will they ruin, in all My holy mountain, for full is the earth of the knowledge of Yahweh. As water for the sea floor is a covering."

¹² Pray, try out your servants ten days. They shall give to us of the seed-foods of the land, and we will eat; and water, we will drink." ¹³ Our appearances shall be seen before you, and the appearance of the boys who are eating the king's dainties. According to what you shall see, do with your servants." ¹⁴ Now he is hearkening to them in this thing and trying them out ten days, ¹⁵ and at the end of ten days, their appearance is seen to be better and plumper in flesh than any of the boys who are eating the king's dainties." ¹⁶ Hence the steward keeps on bearing away their dainties and the wine, their drink, and is giving to them seed-foods."

³ Into your hand are they given. "And every moving animal which is living is coming to be food for you. As the green herbage I give to you all.

¹⁷ for the kingdom of God is not food and drink, but righteousness and peace and joy in holy spirit."

Yet let not him who is not eating be judging him who is eating, for God took him to Himself." ⁴ Who are you who are judging Another's domestic? To his own Master he is standing or falling. Now he will be made to stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand." ⁵ One indeed, is deciding for one day rather than another day, yet one is deciding for every day. Let each one be fully assured in his own mind." ⁶ He who is disposed to the day, is disposed to it to the Lord; and he who is eating, is eating to the Lord, for he is thanking God. And he who is not eating, to the Lord is not eating, and is thanking God." ⁷ For not one of us is living to himself, and not one is dying to himself." ⁸ For both, if we should be living, to the Lord are we living, and if we should be dying, to the Lord are we dying. Then, both if we should be living and if we should be dying, we are the Lord's." ⁹ For for this Christ died and lives, that He should be Lord of the dead as well as of the living." ¹⁰ Now why are you judging your brother? Or why are you also scorning your brother? For all of us shall be presented at the dais of God, ¹¹ for it is written: Living am I, the Lord is saying, For to Me shall bow every knee, And every tongue shall be acclaiming God!" ¹² Consequently, then, each of us shall be giving account concerning himself to God." ¹³ By no means, then, should we still be judging one another, but rather decide this, not to place a stumbling block for a brother, or a snare." ¹⁴ I have perceived and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is contaminating of itself, except that the one reckoning anything to be contaminating, to that one it is contaminating." ¹⁵ For if, because of food, your brother is sorrowing, you are no longer walking according to love. Do not, by your food, destroy that one for whose sake Christ died." ¹⁶ Let not, then, your good be calumniated, ¹⁷ for the kingdom of God is not food and drink, but righteousness and peace and joy in holy spirit." ¹⁸ For he who in this is slaving for Christ, is well pleasing to God and attested by men." ¹⁹ Consequently, then, we are pursuing that which makes for peace and that which is for edification of one another." ²⁰ Not on account of food demolish the work of God. All, indeed, is clean, but it is evil to the man who with stumbling is eating." ²¹ It is ideal not to be eating meat, nor yet to be drinking wine, nor yet to do aught by which your brother is stumbling, or is being snared or weakened." ²² The faith which you have, have for yourself in God's sight. Happy is he who is not judging himself in that which he is attesting." ²³ Now he who is doubting if he should be eating is condemned, seeing that it is not out of faith. Now everything which is not out of faith is sin."

³⁰ And for all land life, and for every flyer of the heavens, and for every moving animal on the land, which has in it a living soul, all green herbage is for food. And coming is it to be so.

²⁹ And saying is the Elohim, "Behold, I give to you all herbage seeding seed, which is on the surface of the entire earth, and every tree which has in it the fruit of a tree seeding seed. For you it is coming to be for food. ³⁰ And for all land life, and for every flyer of the heavens, and for every moving animal on the land, which has in it a living soul, all green herbage is for food. And coming is it to be so.

²¹ It is ideal not to be eating meat, nor yet to be drinking wine, nor yet to do aught by which your brother is stumbling, or is being snared or weakened."
