Ezekiel 4:9

9 `And you, take to you wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and spelt, and you have put them in one vessel, and made them to you for bread; the number of the days that you are lying on your side--three hundred and ninety days--you do eat it."

Daniel 1:1-21

1 In the third year of the kingdom of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, comes Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, to Jerusalem and is besieging it." 2 Yet Yahweh is giving into his hand Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and at the end, the furnishings of the house of Elohim. Then he is bringing them to the land of Shinar, to the house of his Elohim, and the furnishings he brings to the treasure-house of his Elohim." 3 Speaking is the king to Ashpenaz, the grandee of his eunuchs, to bring of the sons of the grandees of Israel, and of the seed royal, and of the highborn;" 4 boys in whom there is no blemish at all, who are of good appearance. Those intelligent in all wisdom, and knowing knowledge, and understanding what is known, and who have vigor in them to stand in the palace before the king, he is to teach them the script and language of the Chaldeans." 5 Assigning is the king to them the day's menu in its day, from the dainties of the king, and from the wine of the king's feasts. They are to grow up three years, and at their end they are to stand before the king." 6 Now there are among them (of the sons of Judah) Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah." 7 When the chief of the eunuchs is giving names to them, he is naming Daniel Belteshazzar, Hananiah Shadrach, Mishael Meshach, and Azariah Abed-nego." 8 Yet determining is Daniel in his heart that he will not sully himself with the dainties of the king, or with the wine of his feasts. When he is seeking permission from the chief of the eunuchs that he not be sullying himself, 9 Elohim is showing Daniel kindness and compassion before the chief of the eunuchs. 10 Saying is the chief of the eunuchs to Daniel, "I am fearing my lord the king who assigned your food and your drink. Why shall he see your faces more languid and feeble than the other boys who are of your deportation? You make me indebted to the king with my head!" 11 Saying is Daniel to the steward whom the chief of the eunuchs assigned over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, 12 Pray, try out your servants ten days. They shall give to us of the seed-foods of the land, and we will eat; and water, we will drink." 13 Our appearances shall be seen before you, and the appearance of the boys who are eating the king's dainties. According to what you shall see, do with your servants." 14 Now he is hearkening to them in this thing and trying them out ten days, 15 and at the end of ten days, their appearance is seen to be better and plumper in flesh than any of the boys who are eating the king's dainties." 16 Hence the steward keeps on bearing away their dainties and the wine, their drink, and is giving to them seed-foods." 17 To these boys, the four of them, Elohim gives knowledge and intelligence in every script, as well as wisdom; in addition Daniel is given understanding in every vision and in dreams." 18 And at the end of the days the king says to bring them in. Then the chief of the eunuchs is bringing them before Nebuchadnezzar. 19 Speaking is the king with them, and of them all, none is found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah. Henceforth they are standing before the king;" 20 in every matter of wisdom and of understanding which the king seeks of them, he is finding them tenfold above all the sacred scribes and magi which are in all his kingdom. Hence they are honored by the king; he constitutes them chiefs, and he finds them wiser in word than all those in his land and in his kingdom." 21 Thus Daniel continued on till year one of Cyrus, the king of Persia."

Romans 14:1-23

1 Now the infirm in the faith be taking to yourselves, but not for discrimination of reasonings." 2 One, indeed, is believing to eat all things, yet the infirm one is eating greens." 3 Let not him who is eating be scorning him who is not eating. Yet let not him who is not eating be judging him who is eating, for God took him to Himself." 4 Who are you who are judging Another's domestic? To his own Master he is standing or falling. Now he will be made to stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand." 5 One indeed, is deciding for one day rather than another day, yet one is deciding for every day. Let each one be fully assured in his own mind." 6 He who is disposed to the day, is disposed to it to the Lord; and he who is eating, is eating to the Lord, for he is thanking God. And he who is not eating, to the Lord is not eating, and is thanking God." 7 For not one of us is living to himself, and not one is dying to himself." 8 For both, if we should be living, to the Lord are we living, and if we should be dying, to the Lord are we dying. Then, both if we should be living and if we should be dying, we are the Lord's." 9 For for this Christ died and lives, that He should be Lord of the dead as well as of the living." 10 Now why are you judging your brother? Or why are you also scorning your brother? For all of us shall be presented at the dais of God, 11 for it is written: Living am I, the Lord is saying, For to Me shall bow every knee, And every tongue shall be acclaiming God!" 12 Consequently, then, each of us shall be giving account concerning himself to God." 13 By no means, then, should we still be judging one another, but rather decide this, not to place a stumbling block for a brother, or a snare." 14 I have perceived and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is contaminating of itself, except that the one reckoning anything to be contaminating, to that one it is contaminating." 15 For if, because of food, your brother is sorrowing, you are no longer walking according to love. Do not, by your food, destroy that one for whose sake Christ died." 16 Let not, then, your good be calumniated, 17 for the kingdom of God is not food and drink, but righteousness and peace and joy in holy spirit." 18 For he who in this is slaving for Christ, is well pleasing to God and attested by men." 19 Consequently, then, we are pursuing that which makes for peace and that which is for edification of one another." 20 Not on account of food demolish the work of God. All, indeed, is clean, but it is evil to the man who with stumbling is eating." 21 It is ideal not to be eating meat, nor yet to be drinking wine, nor yet to do aught by which your brother is stumbling, or is being snared or weakened." 22 The faith which you have, have for yourself in God's sight. Happy is he who is not judging himself in that which he is attesting." 23 Now he who is doubting if he should be eating is condemned, seeing that it is not out of faith. Now everything which is not out of faith is sin."

Genesis 9:3

3 Into your hand are they given. "And every moving animal which is living is coming to be food for you. As the green herbage I give to you all.

Daniel 1:12

12 Pray, try out your servants ten days. They shall give to us of the seed-foods of the land, and we will eat; and water, we will drink."

Genesis 1:29

29 And saying is the Elohim, "Behold, I give to you all herbage seeding seed, which is on the surface of the entire earth, and every tree which has in it the fruit of a tree seeding seed. For you it is coming to be for food.
