Exodus 3:1-22

1 As for Moses, he had become a shepherd of the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. Once he was leading the flock behind the wilderness and came to the Mount of the One, Elohim, to Horeb. 2 Then the messenger of Yahweh appeared to him in a blaze of fire from the midst of a thornbush. So he stared, and behold, the thornbush was consuming with fire, yet the thornbush, it was not being devoured. 3 Hence Moses said: Let me withdraw, I pray, and discern this great sight, for what reason the thornbush is not being consumed. 4 When Yahweh saw that he withdrew to discern, Elohim called to him from the midst of the thornbush and said: Moses! Moses! So he answered: Behold me!" 5 Then he said: Do not come near hither! Ease your sandals off your feet, for the place on which you are standing, this is ground of holiness. 6 And He said: I am the Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac and the Elohim of Jacob. Now Moses concealed his face, for he feared to look toward the One, Elohim. 7 Then Yahweh said: I see, yea see the humiliation of My people who are in Egypt. And I hear their crying because of the presence of their exactors; for I know their pains. 8 Hence I have descended to rescue them from the hand of Egypt and to bring them up from that land to a land good and wide, to a land gushing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Girgashite, the Hivite and the Jebusite. 9 And now, behold, the cry of the sons of Israel has come to Me, and indeed, I have seen the oppression with which Egypt has been oppressing them. 10 Now go, I am sending you to Pharaoh. Bring forth My People, the sons of Israel, from Egypt. 11 Yet Moses said to the One, Elohim: Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and that I should bring forth the sons of Israel from Egypt? 12 Then He said: I shall come to be with you. And this will be the sign for you that I have sent you: when you bring the people forth from Egypt you shall serve the One, Elohim, on this mountain. 13 Now Moses said to the One, Elohim: Behold! When I am coming to the sons of Israel, and I say to them, The Elohim of your fathers sends me to you, then they will say to me, What about His name? What shall I say to them? 14 Then Elohim spoke to Moses: I shall come to be just as I am coming to be. And He said: Thus shall you say to the sons of Israel, I-Shall-Come-to-Be has sent me to you. 15 And Elohim said further to Moses: Thus shall you say to the sons of Israel, Yahweh, the Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac and the Elohim of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name for the eon, and this the remembrance of Me for generation after generation. 16 Go, and you will gather the elders of the sons of Israel and say to them, Yahweh, the Elohim of your fathers, appeared to me, the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, saying, I have noticed, yea noticed you and what is being done to you in Egypt. 17 Hence I am saying that I shall bring you up from the humiliation of Egypt to the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Girgashite, the Hivite and the Jebusite, to a land gushing with milk and honey. 18 Then they will hearken to your voice, and you will enter, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt and say to him: Yahweh, the Elohim of the Hebrews, has met with us. So now, we pray, let us go a way of three days into the wilderness that we may sacrifice to Yahweh our Elohim. 19 Yet I know that the king of Egypt shall not give you leave to go yea not even by a steadfast hand. 20 Hence I will put forth My hand and smite Egypt with all My marvels which I shall do within it, and afterward he shall dismiss you. 21 And I will give this people favor in the eyes of the Egyptians. It will come to be that when you are going you shall not go empty-handed, 22 for each woman will ask of her neighbour, and of her who sojourns in her house, for articles of silver and articles of gold and garments. And you will place them on your sons and on your daughters, and you will despoil the Egyptians.

Psalms 95:3-5

3 For Yahweh is the great El, And the great King over all the elohim, 4 In Whose hand are the far depths of the earth, And the pinnacles of the mountains are His;" 5 Whose is the sea, for He Himself has made it, And the dry land that His hands have formed."

Isaiah 57:15

15 For thus says Yahweh, high and lifted up, who tabernacles the future, and holy is His name:"In the high and holy place am I tabernacling, and with the crushed and lowly spirit, to preserve alive the spirit of the lowly, and to preserve alive the heart of the crushed."

Jeremiah 1:1-19

1 Words of Jeremiah son of Hilkiah, of the priests who [are] in Anathoth, in the land of Benjamin, 2 unto whom the word of Yahweh has been in the days of Josiah son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign, 3 and it is in the days of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah, till the completion of the eleventh year of Zedekiah son of Josiah, king of Judah, till the removal of Jerusalem in the fifth month." 4 And there is a word of Yahweh unto me, saying, 5 `Before I form you in the belly, I have known you; and before you come forth from the womb I have separated you, a prophet to nations I have made you.'" 6 And I say, `Ah, Lord Yahweh! lo, I have not known--to speak, for I [am] a youth.'" 7 And Yahweh said unto me, `Do not say, I [am] a youth, for to all to whom I send you you go, and all that I command you you speak." 8 Be not afraid of their faces, for with you [am] I to deliver you, --an affirmation of Yahweh.'" 9 And Yahweh puts forth His hand, and strikes against my mouth, and Yahweh said unto me, `Lo, I have put my words in your mouth." 10 See, I have charged you this day concerning the nations, and concerning the kingdoms, to pluck up, and to break down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.'" 11 And there is a word of Yahweh unto me, saying, `What are you seeing, Jeremiah?' And I say, `A rod of an almond tree I am seeing.'" 12 And Yahweh said unto me, `You have well seen:for I am watching over My word to do it.'" 13 And there is a word of Yahweh unto me a second time, saying, `What are you seeing?' And I say, `A blown pot I am seeing, and its face [is] from the north.'" 14 And Yahweh said unto me, `From the north is the evil loosed against all inhabitants of the land." 15 For, lo, I am calling for all families of the kingdoms of the north, --an affirmation of Yahweh--and they have come, and put each his throne at the opening of the gates of Jerusalem, and by its walls round about, and by all cities of Judah." 16 And I have spoken My judgments with them concerning all their evil, in that they have forsaken Me, and make perfume to other elohims, and bow themselves to the works of their own hands." 17 `And you, you do gird up your loins, and have arisen, and spoken unto them all that I command you:be not affrighted because of them, lest I affright you before them." 18 And I, lo, I have given you this day for a fenced city, and for an iron pillar, and for brazen walls over all the land, to the kings of Judah, to its heads, to its priests, and to the people of the land;" 19 and they have fought against you, and they prevail not against you; for with you [am] I, --an affirmation of Yahweh--to deliver you."
