Judges 16:21-31

21 And the Philistines seize him, and pick out his eyes, and bring him down to Gaza, and bind him with two brazen fetters; and he is grinding in the prison-house. 22 And the hair of his head begins to shoot up, when he has been shaven, 23 and the princes of the Philistines have been gathered together to sacrifice a great sacrifice to Dagon their elohim, and to rejoice; and they say, `Our elohim has given into our hand Samson our enemy.. 24 And the people see him, and praise their elohim, for they said, `Our elohim has given in our hand our enemy, and he who is laying waste our land, and who multiplied our wounded.. 25 And it comes to pass, when their heart [is] glad, that they say, `Call for Samson, and he does play before us;' and they call for Samson out of the prison-house, and he plays before them, and they cause him to stand between the pillars. 26 And Samson said unto the young man who is keeping hold on his hand, `Let me alone, and let me feel the pillars on which the house is established, and I lean upon them.. 27 And the house has been full of men and of women, and thither [are] all the princes of the Philistines, and on the roof [are] about three thousand men and women, who are looking on the playing of Samson. 28 And Samson calls unto Yahweh, and said, `Lord Yahweh, remember me, I pray You, and strengthen me, I pray You, only this time, O Elohim; and I am avenged--vengeance at once--because of my two eyes, on the Philistines.. 29 And Samson turns aside [to] the two middle pillars, on which the house is established, and on which it is supported, [to] the one with his right hand, and one with his left;" 30 and Samson said, `Let me die with the Philistines,' and he inclines himself powerfully, and the house falls on the princes, and on all the people who [are] in it, and the dead whom he has put to death in his death are more than those whom he put to death in his life. 31 And his brethren come down, and all the house of his father, and lift him up, and bring him up, and bury him between Zorah and Eshtaol, in the burying-place of Manoah his father; and he has judged Israel twenty years.

Therefore you will plant pleasant plants, and with pruned slips of the alien will you sow." 11 In a day you will force your plant to grow rank, and in the morning you will cause your seed to bud. Yet the harvest will flit in a day of illness, and mortal pain will be allotted you for your sons." 12 Woe! A clamor of many peoples! As the clamor of seas are they clamoring. 1 The load of the word of Yahweh. In the land of Hadrach and Damascus is His present, for toward Yahweh is the eye of humanity, and of all the tribes of Israel." 2 And, moreover, Hamath is bounded in it, Tyre and Sidon, for they are exceedingly wise." 3 And Tyre is building siege defense for herself, and is heaping up silver as soil; and she gathers gold-dust as the mud of the streets." 4 Behold! my Lord will evict her, and He will smite her estate in the sea, and she shall be devoured with fire." 5 Ashkelon shall see it and fear, and Gaza also shall travail exceedingly, and Ekron--for her outlook shall be ashamed, and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be indwelt." 6 And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod. And I will cut off the pomp of the Philistines. 7 And I will take away his blood from his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth. Yet he that remains, moreover, shall be for our Elohim; and he will come to be as a mentor in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite." 8 And I camp at My house to keep the host from passing and from returning. And the exactor shall not pass over them furthermore, for now I see with My eyes." 9 Exult exceedingly, daughter of Zion! Shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Behold! your King shall come to you! Righteous and endowed with salvation is He. Humble and riding on an ass, and on a colt, the foal of a she-ass." 10 And He will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem. And the bow of battle shall be cut off; and He will speak peace to the nations. And His rule is from sea unto sea and from the stream unto the limits of the land." 11 Moreover, you, by the blood of your covenant, I send your prisoners away from a cistern without water in it." 12 Return to the fortress, prisoners of expectation. Moreover, this day is telling, I will restore a second portion to you." 13 For I bend Judah for Myself; I fill the bow with Ephraim. And I will brandish your sons, O Zion, over your sons, O Javan, and make you as the sword of a master." 14 Then Yahweh shall appear over them, and His arrow shall fare forth as a flash. And my Lord Yahweh shall blow with a trumpet, and He goes with tempests of the south." 15 Yahweh of hosts shall protect them, and they devour, and they subdue the sling-stones; and they drink; they clamor as from wine; and they are full as a sprinkling bowl, as the garners of the altar." 16 And Yahweh, their Elohim, will save them in that day, as the flock of His people; for they shall be the stones of sequestration, themselves a banner waving over His ground." 17 For how good is He! And how lovely is He! Grain for choice men, and grape juice will He produce for virgins."

And lo! a man, an Ethiopian eunuch, a potentate of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was over her entire exchequer, who had come, to be worshiping, to Jerusalem." 28 Besides, he was returning and sitting on his chariot, and he read the prophet Isaiah." 29 Now the spirit said to Philip, "Approach and be joined to this chariot." 30 Now Philip, running toward him, hears him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, "Consequently, you surely know what you are reading!" 31 Yet he said, "For how should I be able, if ever someone should not be guiding me?Besides, he entreats Philip, stepping up, to be seated with him." 32 Now the context of the scripture which he read was this: "As a sheep to slaughter was He led, And as a lamb in front of its shearer is not bleating, Thus He is not opening His mouth." 33 In His humiliation His judging was taken away. His generation who will be relating? For His life is being taken away from the earth." 34 Now answering, the eunuch said to Philip, "I beseech you, concerning whom is the prophet saying this, concerning himself or concerning some different person? 35 Now Philip, opening his mouth, and beginning from this scripture, evangelizes to him Jesus." 36 Now as they went along the road they came to some water, and the eunuch is averring, "Lo! Water! What is preventing me from being baptized? 37 -38 And he orders the chariot to stand, and they both descended into the water, both Philip and the eunuch, and he baptizes him." 39 Now when they stepped up out of the water, the spirit of the Lord snatches away Philip, and the eunuch did not perceive him any longer, for he went his way rejoicing."
