⁸ And planting is Yahweh Elohim a garden in Eden, in the east, and He is placing there the human whom He forms.

¹ And the serpent comes to be the craftiest of all field life which was made by Yahweh Elohim. And saying is the serpent to the woman, "Indeed! Then the Elohim says, 'Not eat shall you from any tree of the garden'?

⁹ And furthermore sprouting is Yahweh Elohim from the ground every tree coveted by the sight and good for food, and the tree of the living in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

¹⁷ Yet from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you are not to be eating from it, for in the day you eat from it, to die shall you be dying.

¹⁶ And instructing is Yahweh Elohim the human, saying, "From every tree of the garden, you are to eat, yea, eat.

²⁴ And He is driving out the human, and is causing him to tabernacle at the east of the garden of Eden. And He set the cherubim, and a flaming sword turning itself, to keep the way of the tree of the living.

²⁶ And saying is the Elohim, "Make will We humanity in Our image, and according to Our likeness, and sway shall they over the fish of the sea, and over the flyer of the heavens, and over the beast, and over all land life, and over every moving animal moving on the land.

¹¹ And you are guided by Yahweh continually, and He satisfies, on a garish day, your soul. And your bones will He liberate. And you become as a soaked garden, and as a vent of water whose waters are not defaulting."

⁶ Then Yahweh Elohim is assigning a gourd, and it is coming up over Jonah, to be a shade over his head, to rescue him from his evil. And Jonah is rejoicing over the gourd, with great rejoicing." ⁷ And the Elohim is assigning a worm at the ascending of the dawn of the morrow, and it is smiting the gourd, and it is drying up." ⁸ And it is coming as the sun rises, that Elohim is assigning a hot east wind, and the sun is smiting on the head of Jonah, and he is swooning. And he is asking for his soul to die and is saying, Better is my death than my life." ⁹ Then Elohim is saying to Jonah, Is it good for you to be hot over the gourd? And he is saying, It is good for me to be hot unto death." ¹⁰ And Yahweh is saying, You commiserate over the gourd, for which you toil not, neither are you making it grow. It came to be one night old, and it perished one night old." ¹¹ And I, shall I not commiserate over Nineveh, the great city, in which there are more than a hundred and twenty thousand human beings who do not know their right from their left, and many beasts?

²⁷ Consider the anemones, how they are growing. They are not toiling, neither are they spinning; yet I am saying to you that not even Solomon in all his glory was clothed as one of these."

¹⁵ And taking is Yahweh Elohim the human that he had formed and is leaving him in the garden of Eden to serve it and to keep it.

¹¹ And saying is the Elohim, "Verdant shall become the land with verdure; with herbage seeding seed for its from-kind and for its likeness. and with the fruit tree whose seed is in it yielding fruit for its from-kind on the land." And coming is it to be so. ¹² And forth is the land bringing verdure; herbage seeding seed for its from-kind, and for its likeness, and the fruit tree whose seed is in it, yielding fruit for its from-kind, on the land. And seeing is the Elohim that it is good.

⁷ So that, neither is he who is planting anything, nor he who is irrigating, but God Who makes it grow up." ⁸ And hearing are they the sound of Yahweh Elohim walking in the garden in the windy part of the day. And hiding themselves are the human and his wife from the face of Yahweh Elohim, in the midst of a tree of the garden."
