¹ {A Davidic Psalm{ {When Nathan the prophet came to him after he had come to Bath-sheba.{ Be gracious to me, O Elohim, according to Your benignity; According to Your many compassions wipe out my transgressions." ² Rinse me abundantly from my depravity, And from my sin cleanse me." ³ For I acknowledge my transgressions, And my sin is in front of me continually." ⁴ Against You, against You alone have I sinned And done what is evil in Your eyes, So that You may be justified when You speak, And be cleared when You judge." ⁵ Behold, I was with depravity when I was travailed in birth, And in sin when my mother conceived me." ⁶ Behold, You delight in truth even in the hidden parts, And in the secret parts You cause me to know wisdom." ⁷ Expiate me with the hyssop, and I shall be clean; Rinse me, and I shall be whiter than snow." ⁸ Let me hear elation and rejoicing; Let the bones You have crushed exult. ⁹ Conceal Your face from my sins, And all my depravities wipe out." ¹⁰ Create for me a clean heart, O Elohim, And renew within me an established spirit." ¹¹ O do not fling me from Your presence, And do not take Your holy spirit from me." ¹² Do restore to me the elation of Your salvation, And stabilize me with a willing spirit." ¹³ Let me teach transgressors Your ways, That sinners may return to You." ¹⁴ Rescue me from bloodguilt, O Elohim, the Elohim of my salvation, That my tongue may be jubilant at Your righteousness." ¹⁵ O Yahweh, open my lips, That my mouth may tell forth Your praise." ¹⁶ For You are not delighting in sacrifice, that I should give it; An ascent approach You are not holding dear." ¹⁷ The sacrifices to Elohim are a broken spirit; A broken and crushed heart, O Elohim, You shall not despise." ¹⁸ In Your benevolence, bring good to Zion; Build up the walls of Jerusalem." ¹⁹ Then You shall delight in righteous sacrifices, ascent approach and wholly fumed offering; Then young bulls shall be offered up on Your altar. {Permanent{ "

¹ Thus says Yahweh, "The heavens are My throne, and the earth is My footstool. Where is this house which you are building for Me? And where is this place of My rest? ² Yet all these were made by My hand, and all these are coming to be Mine,averring is Yahweh. "Yet to this one will I look:to the humble and smitten spirit, and he who trembles at My word."

¹ The word that has been unto Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying, ² Rise, and you have gone down [to] the potter's house, and there I cause you to hear My words;" ³ and I go down [to] the potter's house, and lo, he is doing a work on the stones, ⁴ and marred is the vessel that he is making, as clay in the hand of the potter, and he has turned and he makes it another vessel, as it was right in the eyes of the potter to make." ⁵ And there is a word of Yahweh to me, saying:" ⁶ As this potter am I not able to do to you? O house of Israel, an affirmation of Yahweh. Lo, as clay in the hand of the potter, So [are] you in My hand, O house of Israel." ⁷ The moment I speak concerning a nation, And concerning a kingdom, To pluck up and to break down, and to destroy, ⁸ And that nation has turned from its evil, Because I have spoken against it, Then I have repented of the evil that I thought to do to it." ⁹ And the moment I speak concerning a nation, And concerning a kingdom, to build, and to plant, ¹⁰ And it has done the evil thing in Mine eyes, So as not to hearken to My voice, Then I have repented of the good That I have spoken of doing to it." ¹¹ And now, speak, I pray you, unto men of Judah, And against inhabitants of Jerusalem, Saying:Thus said Yahweh:Lo, I am framing against you evil, And devising against you a device, Turn back, I pray you, each from his evil way And amen your ways and your doings." ¹² And they have said, It is incurable, For after our own devices we do go, And each the stubbornness of his evil heart we do." ¹³ Therefore, thus said Yahweh:Ask, I pray you, among the nations, Who has heard like these? A very horrible thing has the virgin of Israel done." ¹⁴ Does snow of Lebanon Cease from the rock of the field? Failed are the cold strange waters that flow? ¹⁵ But My people have forgotten Me, to a vain thing they make perfume, And they cause them to stumble in their ways--paths of old, To walk in paths--a way not raised up, ¹⁶ To make their land become a desolation, A hissing eonian, Every passer by it is astonished, And bemoans with his head." ¹⁷ As an east wind I scatter them before an enemy, The neck, and not the face, I show them, In the day of their calamity.'" ¹⁸ And they say, Come, And we devise against Jeremiah devices, For law does not perish from the priest, Nor counsel from the wise, Nor the word from the prophet, Come, and we smite him with the tongue, And we do not attend to any of his words." ¹⁹ Give attention, O Yahweh, unto me, And hearken to the voice of those contending with me." ²⁰ Is evil recompensed instead of good, That they have dug a pit for my soul? Remember my standing before You to speak good of them, To turn back Your wrath from them." ²¹ Therefore, give up their sons to famine, And cause them to run on the sides of the sword, And their wives are bereaved and widows, And their men are slain by death, Their young men smitten by sword in battle, ²² A cry is heard from their houses, For You bring against them suddenly a troop, For they dug a pit to capture me, And snares they have hidden for my feet." ²³ And You, O Yahweh, You have known, All their counsel against me [is] for death, You do not cover over their iniquity, Nor their sin from before You blot out, And they are made to stumble before You, In the time of Your anger work against them!"

³ "Happy, in spirit, are the poor, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens. ⁴ "Happy are those who mourn now, for they shall be consoled.

¹⁶ Then confess sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The operative petition of the just is availing much."

² Yet all these were made by My hand, and all these are coming to be Mine,averring is Yahweh. "Yet to this one will I look:to the humble and smitten spirit, and he who trembles at My word."

² And opening His mouth, He taught them, saying, ³ "Happy, in spirit, are the poor, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens. ⁴ "Happy are those who mourn now, for they shall be consoled. ⁵ "Happy are the meek, for they shall be enjoying the allotment of the land. ⁶ "Happy are those who are hungering and thirsting for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. ⁷ "Happy are the merciful, for they shall be shown mercy. ⁸ "Happy are the clean in heart, for they shall see God. ⁹ "Happy are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. ¹⁰ "Happy are those persecuted on account of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens. ¹¹ "Happy are you whenever they should be reproaching and persecuting you and, falsifying, saying every wicked thing against you, on my account. ¹² Rejoice and exult, for your wages are vast in the heavens. For thus they persecute the prophets before you.

⁸ For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning our affliction which came to us in the province of Asia, that we were inordinately burdened, over our ability, so that we were despairing of life also." ⁹ But we have the rescript of death in ourselves, that we may be having no confidence in ourselves, but in God, Who rouses the dead, ¹⁰ Who rescues us from a death of such proportions, and will be rescuing; on Whom we rely that He will still be rescuing also;"

²⁰ With Christ have I been crucified, yet I am living; no longer I, but living in me is Christ. Now that which I am now living in flesh, I am living in faith that is of the Son of God, Who loves me, and gives Himself up for me."

⁶ Yet greater is the grace He is giving. Wherefore He is saying, God "the proud is resisting, yet to the humble He is giving grace."

¹² I was forgotten, like a dead man, out of heart; I became like a lost vessel."

⁵ Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, And do not lean to your own understanding." ⁶ In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He Himself shall straighten your paths."

¹⁵ For thus says Yahweh, high and lifted up, who tabernacles the future, and holy is His name:"In the high and holy place am I tabernacling, and with the crushed and lowly spirit, to preserve alive the spirit of the lowly, and to preserve alive the heart of the crushed."

²⁴ Verily, verily, I am saying to you, If a kernel of grain, falling into the earth, should not be dying, it is remaining alone, yet if it should be dying, it is bringing forth much fruit."

³ The One healing the broken heart And binding up their grievous wounds;

¹⁷ The sacrifices to Elohim are a broken spirit; A broken and crushed heart, O Elohim, You shall not despise."

¹⁸ Yahweh is near to the broken of heart, And He shall save those crushed of spirit."
