¹¹ The name of the one is Pison. It is that surrounding the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold,

⁶ And the sons of Ham: Cush and Mizraim and Phut and Canaan. ⁷ And the sons of Cush: Sebah and Havilah and Sabtah and Raamah and Sabtechah. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan. ⁸ And Cush generates Nimrod. He starts to become a master in the earth. ⁹ He becomes a master hunter before Yahweh Elohim. Therefore is it being said, "As Nimrod, the master hunter before Yahweh. ¹⁰ And coming is the beginning of his kingdom to be Babel and Erech and Accad and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. ¹¹ (From that land fares forth Ashur, and building is he Nineveh and Rehoboth city, and Calah, ¹² and Desen between Nineveh and Calah. That city is great.) ¹³ And Mizraim generates Ludim and Anamim and Lehabim and Naphtuhim ¹⁴ and Pathrusim and Casluhim, whence fare forth the Philistim and Caphthorim. ¹⁵ And Canaan generates Sidon, his firstborn, and Het. ¹⁶ and the Jebusite and the Amorite and the Girgashite ¹⁷ and the Hivite and the Arkite and the Sinite ¹⁸ and the Arvadite and the Zemarite and the Hamathite. And afterwards the families of the Canaanite are scattered. ¹⁹ And coming is the boundary of the Canaanite to be from Sidon, as you come toward Gerar unto Gaza, as you come toward Sodom and Gomorrah and Admah and Zebolim, unto Lasha. ²⁰ These are the sons of Ham, by their families, by their tongues, in their lands, in their nations.

¹² And Yahweh smites the Cushim before Asa, and before Judah, and the Cushim flee,

¹ It was in the days of Xerxes--that Xerxes who was reigning over 127 provinces from India unto Nubia.

¹ Woe, Land of a craft with wings, which have a passage to the streams of Ethiopia, ² sending its agents by sea, and in papyrus vessels over the surface of the waters. "Go, fleet messengers, to a nation in suspense and trepidation, to a people fearful, from its boundary and beyond, a nation at the confluences of waters and eroding, from which the streams plunder its land." ³ All dwellers of the habitance, and tabernaclers of the earth:As the lifting of a banner on the mountains, you shall see, and as the blowing of a trumpet, you shall hear." ⁴ For thus says Yahweh to me, "I will be quiet, and I will look in My site. As a glossy warmth over the light, as a dense haze of night mist in the day of harvest." ⁵ For before the harvest, as the bud is spent, and the unripe grape is weaning, the flower is coming. Then he cuts off the shoots with pruners, and the abandoned twigs he takes away when he lops." ⁶ They will be forsaken together to the bird of prey of the mountains, and to the beast of the earth. And summer on them will the bird of prey, and every beast of the earth will winter on them." ⁷ In that era, an indemnity shall be fetched to Yahweh of hosts from the people in suspense and trepidation, and from a people fearful, from its boundary and beyond, a nation at the confluences of waters and eroding, from which the streams plunder its land, to the place of the Name of Yahweh of hosts, called mount Zion."

¹⁴ Thus says Yahweh of hosts, "The labor of Egypt, and the merchandise of Ethiopia, and the Sabeans, mortals of exceptional measure, shall pass over to you and become your servants. After you shall they go. In manacles shall they pass. And to you shall they prostrate, and to you shall they pray:`Yea, among you is the El, and no one else is the limit of the Elohim.'"

⁹ Go up, you horses; and boast yourselves, you chariots, And go forth, you mighty, Cush and Phut handling the shield, And Lud handling--treading the bow."

⁷ And Ebed-Melech the Cushite, a eunuch who [is] in the king's house, hears that they have put Jeremiah into the pit; and the king is sitting at the gate of Benjamin, ⁸ and Ebed-Melech goes forth from the king's house, and speaks unto the king, saying, ⁹ `My lord, O king, these men have done evil [in] all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet, whom they have cast into the pit, and he dies in his place because of the famine, for there is no more bread in the city.'" <sup>10</sup> And the king commands Ebed-Melech the Cushite, saying, `Take with you from this thirty men, and you have brought up Jeremiah the prophet from the pit, before he dies.'" ¹¹ And Ebed-Melech takes the men with him, and enters the house of the king, unto the place of the treasury, and takes thence worn-out clouts, and worn-out rags, and sends them unto Jeremiah unto the pit by cords." ¹² And Ebed-Melech the Cushite said unto Jeremiah, `Put, I pray you, the worn-out clouts and rags under your arm-holes, at the place of the cords,' and Jeremiah does so, ¹³ and they draw out Jeremiah with cords, and bring him up out of the pit, and Jeremiah dwells in the court of the prison."

⁴³ He rules by reserves of gold and silver and by all he covets from Egypt, the Libyans and the Ethiopians--reserves which are in his fastnesses."

¹⁰ Therefore, lo, I [am] against you, and against your floods, And have given the land of Egypt for wastes, A waste, a desolation, from Migdol to Syene, And unto the border of Cush."

⁷ Are you not as sons of Ethiopians to Me, O sons of Israel? (averring is Yahweh); Did not I bring up Israel from the land of Egypt? And the Philistines from Caphtor? And Syria from Kir? ⁸ Behold! the eyes of my Lord Yahweh are on the sinning kingdom, and I will exterminate it off the surface of the ground, only that I will not utterly exterminate the house of Jacob, (averring is Yahweh)."

⁶ I will fling on you abominable things, and I will disgrace you, and I place you as a spectacle." ⁷ And it shall come to be that all seeing you will flit from you and say, Devastated is Nineveh! Who will condole with her? Whence shall I seek comforters for you? ⁸ Are you better than No-Amon, the dweller among the waterways, water round about her, whose rampart is the sea and water is her wall? ⁹ Ethiopia is her staunchness, also Egypt, and there is no end; Phut and Lubim became your help." ¹⁰ Moreover, she was for deportation; she goes into captivity. Moreover, her unweaned children are being dashed to pieces at the head of all the streets, and over all her glorious ones, they handle the lot. And all her great ones are chained with manacles."

⁹ For then I will turn a pure lip to the peoples, for them all to call on the name of Yahweh, to serve Him with one shoulder-blade." ¹⁰ From across the streams of Ethiopia, My entreaters, the daughter of My scattered ones, shall fetch My approach present." ¹¹ In that day you shall not be ashamed of all your practices, in which you transgressed against Me, for then will I take away from within you those who are joyous in your pride, and you shall not continue further to be haughty in My holy mountain." ¹² And I will cause a humble and poor people to remain within you; and they will take refuge in the name of Yahweh. ¹³ The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity nor speak a lie, nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth. For they shall graze, and recline, and no one is causing them to tremble."

¹ then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses concerning the case of the Cushite woman whom he took (for he had taken a Cushite woman).

³¹ Let envoys arrive from Egypt; Let Nubia run with its hands stretched out to Elohim.

³⁴ Now Peter, opening his mouth, said, "Of a truth I am grasping that God is not partial, ³⁵ but in every nation he who is fearing Him and acting righteously is acceptable to Him.

²⁷ And rising, he went. And lo! a man, an Ethiopian eunuch, a potentate of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was over her entire exchequer, who had come, to be worshiping, to Jerusalem." ²⁸ Besides, he was returning and sitting on his chariot, and he read the prophet Isaiah." ²⁹ Now the spirit said to Philip, "Approach and be joined to this chariot." ³⁰ Now Philip, running toward him, hears him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, "Consequently, you surely know what you are reading!" ³¹ Yet he said, "For how should I be able, if ever someone should not be guiding me?Besides, he entreats Philip, stepping up, to be seated with him."
