Psalms 91:1-16

1 Praise of a Song, by David. He that dwells in the help of the Highest, shall sojourn under the shelter of the God of heaven. 2 He shall say to the Lord, You are my helper and my refuge; my God; I will trust in Him. 3 For He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler, from every troublesome matter. 4 He shall overshadow you with His shoulders, and You shall trust under His wings; His truth shall cover you with a shield. 5 You shall not be afraid of terror by night; nor of the arrow flying by day; 6 nor of the evil thing that walks in darkness; nor of calamity, and the evil spirit at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. 8 Only with your eyes shall you observe and see the reward of sinners. 9 For You, O Lord, are my hope; You, my soul, have made the Most High your refuge. 10 No evils shall come upon you, and no scourge shall draw near to your dwelling. 11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. 12 They shall bear you up on their hands, lest at any time you dash your foot against a stone. 13 You shall tread on the asp and basilisk; and you shall trample on the lion and dragon. 14 For he has hoped in Me, and I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he has known My name. 15 He shall call upon Me, and I will hearken to him; I am with him in affliction; and I will deliver him, and glorify him. 16 I will satisfy him with length of days, and show him My salvation.

Matthew 6:25-34

25 "Because of this I say to you, do not worry about your life--what you shall eat, or what you shall drink--nor about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap, nor do they gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth more than they? 27 Which of you by worrying is able to add one cubit to his stature? 28 So why do you worry about clothes? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither labor, nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you, that not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God thus clothes the grass of the field, which exists today, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we put on?' 32 "For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own affairs. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Philippians 4:6-7
