Psalms 118:13

13 I was thrust, and sorely shaken, that I might fall; but the Lord helped me.

Jeremiah 20:14-18

14 Cursed be the day in which I was born! Let the day not be blessed in which my mother bore me! 15 Cursed be the man who brought the glad tidings to my father, saying, A male child has been born to you. 16 Let that man rejoice as the cities which the Lord overthrew in wrath, and repented not: let him hear crying in the morning, and loud lamentation at noon; 17 because he slew me not in the womb, and my mother became not my tomb, and her womb always enlarged with me. 18 Why is it that I came forth from the womb to see troubles and distresses, and my days are spent in shame?

Matthew 5:3

3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

1 Corinthians 6:19

19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

James 1:1-27

1 James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings. 2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4 But let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it shall be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, doubting nothing, for he that doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he shall receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. 9 Let the lowly brother rejoice in his exaltation, 10 but the rich man in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away. 11 For the sun arose with burning heat and withered the grass, and its flower fell off, and its beautiful appearance perished. So the rich man also shall fade away in his pursuits. 12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; because when he is approved, he shall receive the crown of life which the Lord promised to those who love Him. 13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted by his own lusts, being drawn away and being seduced by them. 15 Then lust, when it conceives, gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. 16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. 18 Exercising His will He begat us by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures. 19 So then, my beloved brothers, let every man be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; 20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. 21 Therefore laying aside all filthiness and abundance of evil, in meekness receive the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But become doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, this one is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observed himself and has gone away, and immediately forgot what sort of man he was. 25 But the one who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one shall be blessed in what he does. 26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceiving his heart, the religion of this man is useless. 27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

James 4:7

7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Psalms 13:1-6

1 For the end, A Psalm of David. How long, O Lord, will You forget me? Forever? How long will You turn away Your face from me? 2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrows in my heart daily? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me? 3 Look on me, hearken to me, O Lord my God: lighten my eyes, lest I sleep in death; 4 lest at any time my enemy say, I have prevailed against him: my persecutors will exalt if ever I should be moved. 5 But I have hoped in Your mercy; my heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. 6 I will sing to the Lord who has dealt bountifully with me, and I will sing psalms to the name of the Lord Most High.

Galatians 2:20

20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.

Matthew 11:28-30

28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

1 Corinthians 10:13

13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not permit you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation, He will also make the way out, so as for you to be able to bear it.

James 1:2-12
