¹ Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, and has not stood in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the seat of evil men. ² But his pleasure is in the law of the Lord; and in His law will he meditate day and night. ³ And he shall be as a tree planted by the brooks of waters, which shall yield its fruit in its season, and its leaf shall not fall off; and whatsoever he shall do shall prosper. ⁴ Not so for the ungodly — not so; but rather as the chaff which the wind scatters away from the face of the earth. ⁵ Therefore the ungodly shall not rise in the judgment, nor sinners in the counsel of the just. ⁶ For the Lord knows the way of the righteous; but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

²³ And whatever you may do, work it from your soul, as to the Lord and not to men,

¹⁷ that the man of God may be proficient, having been thoroughly equipped for every good work.

¹³ Because of this we also give thanks to God unceasingly, so that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you received not the word of men, but just as it truly is, the word of God, which also is at work in you who believe.

²⁰ knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture comes about from one's own interpretation, ²¹ for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke, being brought along by the Holy Spirit.

² Now furthermore what is required among the stewards, is that one be found faithful. ³ But to me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you, or by a human court. Indeed, I do not even judge myself. ⁴ For I am conscious of nothing, but I have not been justified by this; but He who judges me is the Lord.

¹² For the word of God is living and effectual, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

¹⁰ He that is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he that is unjust in what is least is also unjust in much.

¹⁶ All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
