¹⁶ You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

¹³ Righteous lips are acceptable to a king, and he loves right words.

⁹ He that walks simply, walks confidently, but he that perverts his ways shall be known.

³⁷ But let your word be 'Yes', 'yes,'; 'No,' 'no.' For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.

³¹ And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.

¹⁶ And in this I myself am engaging, having a conscience blameless toward God and men through everything.

¹⁸ Pray for us; for we are persuaded that we have a good conscience, in all things desiring to live commendably.

³ When a just man dies he leaves regret, but the destruction of the ungodly is speedy, and causes joy.

⁸ Finally, brothers, as many things as are true, as many as are honorable, as many as are just, as many as are pure, as many as are lovely--if there is any virtue and if there is any praise--meditate on these things. ⁹ The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, practice these things; and the God of peace shall be with you.

⁹ Do not lie to one another, since you have stripped off the old man with his practices, ¹⁰ For "He that desires to love life and see good days, let him stop his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking guile. ¹¹ Let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. ¹² For the eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and His ears open to their prayer; but the face of the LORD is against those doing evil."

¹⁶ For he rejoices in all things which God hates, and he is ruined by reason of impurity of soul. ¹⁷ The eye of the haughty, an unjust tongue, hands shedding innocent blood, ¹⁸ a heart devising evil thoughts, and feet hastening to do evil, are hateful to God. ¹⁹ An unjust witness kindles falsehoods, and brings on quarrels between brothers. ²⁰ My son, keep the laws of your father, and do not reject the ordinances of your mother:

³² And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free."
