²⁶ Eat not on the mountains, nor shall you employ divination, nor divine by inspection of birds.

¹⁸ You shall not save the lives of sorcerers.

¹⁰ There shall not be found in you one who purges his son or his daughter with fire, or one who uses divination, or one who deals with omens, or a sorcerer ¹¹ employing an incantation, or one who has in him a divining spirit, or an observer of signs who questions the dead. ¹² For everyone that does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God; for because of these abominations the Lord shall destroy them from before your face.

⁹ And when you shall have entered into the land which the Lord your God gives you, you shall not learn to do according to the abominations of those nations. ¹⁰ There shall not be found in you one who purges his son or his daughter with fire, or one who uses divination, or one who deals with omens, or a sorcerer ¹¹ employing an incantation, or one who has in him a divining spirit, or an observer of signs who questions the dead. ¹² For everyone that does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God; for because of these abominations the Lord shall destroy them from before your face. ¹³ You shall be perfect before the Lord your God.

⁶ He also passed his children through the fire in the valley of the Son of Hinnom; and he practiced witchcraft, divination, and sorceries, and appointed those who had divining spirits, and enchanters, and wrought abundant wickedness before the Lord, to provoke Him.

¹² and I will utterly destroy your sorceries out of your hands; and there shall be no soothsayers in you.

¹⁶ Now it came to pass, as we went to prayer, that a certain slave girl, having a spirit of Python, met us, who brought much profit to her masters by fortune telling. ¹⁷ This girl, following after Paul and us, was crying out, saying, "These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation." ¹⁸ And this she did for many days. But Paul, being greatly annoyed and turning around, said to the spirit, "I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her." And he came out in that very hour. ¹⁹ And when her masters saw that the hope of their profit was gone, they took Paul and Silas, and dragged them to the marketplace to the rulers.

¹⁵ But outside are dogs and drug users and fornicators and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices a lie.

²⁷ And as for a man or woman whosoever of them shall have in them a divining spirit, or be an enchanter, let them both die the death: you shall stone them with stones, they are guilty.

⁶ And he caused his sons to pass through the fire, and practiced witchcraft and soothsaying, and made groves, and multiplied wizards, so as to do that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.

¹³ So Saul died for his transgressions, wherein he transgressed against God, against the word of the Lord, forasmuch as he kept it not, because Saul inquired of a wizard to seek counsel, and Samuel the prophet answered him; ¹⁴ and he sought not the Lord. Therefore He killed him, and turned the kingdom to David the son of Jesse.

¹⁹ And if they should say to you, Seek those who have in them a divining spirit, and them that speak out of the earth, them that speak vain words, who speak out of their belly; shall not a nation diligently seek their God? Why do they look to the dead concerning the living?

⁶ And the soul that shall follow those who have in them divining spirits, or enchanters, so as to go a whoring after them; I will set My face against that soul, and will destroy it from among its people.

³¹ You shall not attend to those who have in them divining spirits, nor attach yourselves to enchanters, to pollute yourselves with them: I am the Lord your God.
