¹¹ Not that I am speaking with respect to need, for I have learned to be content in whatever state I am. ¹² I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. In every place and in all circumstances I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. ¹³ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

¹⁶ And we have come to know and believe the love which God has in us. God is love, and he that abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

¹⁴ Likewise the soldiers also were asking him, saying, "And what shall we do?" So he said to them, "Do not intimidate anyone or accuse anyone falsely, and be content with your wages."

¹¹ in everything being made rich to all generosity, which produces thanksgiving through us to God.

⁹ For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet on account of you He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

²⁴ "No one is able to serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and he will love the other, or else he will be devoted to the one, and he will despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

¹³ If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, by how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!"

¹³ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

¹⁰ nor murmer, just as also some of them murmered, and were destroyed by the destroyer.

⁷ Husbands, likewise, live together according to knowledge as with a weaker vessel, with the wife, showing her honor as also a fellow heir of the grace of life, in order that your prayers may not be hindered. ⁸ Finally, all of you be like-minded, sympathetic, loving the brothers, compassionate, friendly, ⁹ not rendering evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called for this purpose, that you may inherit a blessing. ¹⁰ For "He that desires to love life and see good days, let him stop his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking guile. ¹¹ Let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. ¹² For the eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and His ears open to their prayer; but the face of the LORD is against those doing evil."

³³ But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

⁷ casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares about you.

¹⁰ But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now once again you have revived your mindfulness on my behalf, inasmuch as indeed you were mindful, but you lacked opportunity. ¹¹ Not that I am speaking with respect to need, for I have learned to be content in whatever state I am. ¹² I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. ⁴ Delight yourself in the Lord, and He shall grant you the desires of your heart.

¹⁵ And He said to them, "Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."

⁶ But godliness with contentment is great gain. ⁷ For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain that neither can we carry anything out! ⁸ But having food and clothing, with these things we shall be content. ⁹ But those desiring to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and many senseless and harmful lusts which sink men in destruction and perdition. ¹⁰ For the love of money is a root of all evils, of which some by aspiring have strayed away from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

¹⁸ In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

⁵ Let your way of life be without loving money, being satisfied with what you have. For He Himself has said, "By no means shall I desert you, nor in any way shall I forsake you;"
