Leviticus 18:1-30

1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 Speak to the children of Israel, and you shall say to them, I am the Lord your God. 3 You shall not do according to the devices of Egypt, in which you dwelt: and according to the devices of the land of Canaan, into which I bring you, you shall not do; and you shall not walk in their ordinances. 4 You shall observe My judgments, and shall keep My ordinances, and shall walk in them: I am the Lord your God. 5 So you shall keep all My ordinances, and all My judgments, and do them; which if a man shall do, he shall live in them: I am the Lord your God. 6 No man shall draw near to any of his near kindred to uncover their nakedness; I am the Lord. 7 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father, or the nakedness of your mother, for she is your mother; you shall not uncover her nakedness. 8 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's wife; it is your father's nakedness. 9 The nakedness of your sister by your father or by your mother, born at home or abroad, their nakedness you shall not uncover. 10 The nakedness of your son's daughter, or your daughter's daughter, their nakedness you shall not uncover; because it is your nakedness. 11 You shall not uncover the nakedness of the daughter of your father's wife; she is your sister by the same father: you shall not uncover her nakedness. 12 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's sister, for she is near akin to your father. 13 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother's sister, for she is near akin to your mother. 14 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's brother, and you shall not go in to his wife; for she is your relation. 15 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law, for she is your son's wife, you shall not uncover her nakedness. 16 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother's wife: it is your brother's nakedness. 17 The nakedness of a woman and her daughter shall you not uncover; her son's daughter, and her daughter's daughter, shall you not take, to uncover their nakedness, for they are your kinswomen: it is impiety. 18 You shall not take a wife in addition to her sister, as a rival, to uncover her nakedness in opposition to her, while she is yet living. 19 And you shall not go in to a woman under separation for her uncleanness, to uncover her nakedness. 20 And you shall not lie with your neighbor's wife, to defile yourself with her. 21 And you shall not give of your seed to serve a ruler; and you shall not profane My holy name; I am the Lord. 22 And you shall not lie with a man as with a woman, for it is an abomination. 23 Neither shall you lie with any quadruped for copulation, to be polluted with it: neither shall a woman present herself before any quadruped to have connexion with it; for it is an abomination. 24 Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for in all these things the nations are defiled, which I drove out before you, 25 and the land is polluted; and I have recompensed their iniquity to them because of it, and the land is aggrieved with them that dwell upon it. 26 And you shall keep all My statutes and all My ordinances, and you shall do none of these abominations; neither the native, nor the stranger that joins himself with you: 27 (for all these abominations the men of the land did who were before you, and the land was defiled,) 28 and lest the land be aggrieved with you in your polluting it, as it was aggrieved with the nations before you. 29 For whosoever shall do any of these abominations, the souls that do them shall be destroyed from among their people. 30 And you shall keep My ordinances, that you may not do any of the abominable practices, which have taken place before your time; and you shall not be polluted in them; for I am the Lord your God.

Acts 16:1-40

1 Now he arrived at Derbe and Lystra. And behold, a certain disciple was there named Timothy, the son of a certain Jewish woman who believed, but his father was Greek, 2 who had a good testimony by the brothers in Lystra and Iconium. 3 Paul desired this Timothy to go forth with him, and taking him, he circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those places, for they all knew that his father was Greek. 4 And as they were going through the cities, they were delivering to them the decrees to keep, which had been decided by the apostles and the elders at Jerusalem. 5 Therefore the churches were strengthened in the faith, and were growing in number each day. 6 Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the Galatian region, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit from speaking the word in Asia, 7 having come to Mysia they attempted to go to Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them. 8 So they bypassed Mysia, and went down to Troas. 9 And a vision appeared during the night to Paul. A certain man of Macedonia was standing, urging him, and saying, "Come across to Macedonia and help us." 10 Now when he saw the vision, immediately we sought to go out to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them. 11 Therefore, putting to sea from Troas, we ran a straight course to Samothrace, and the next day came to Neapolis, 12 and from there to Philippi, which is chief of that part of Macedonia, a colony. And we were spending some days in that very city. 13 And on the Sabbath day we went outside the city beside a river, where prayer was customarily made; and having sat down we spoke to the women who assembled together there. 14 And a certain woman named Lydia, a dealer of purple cloth of the city of Thyatira, who worshipped God, heard us, whose heart The Lord opened to give heed to the things spoken by Paul. 15 And when she and her household were baptized, she urged us, saying, "If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay." So she persuaded us. 16 Now it came to pass, as we went to prayer, that a certain slave girl, having a spirit of Python, met us, who brought much profit to her masters by fortune telling. 17 This girl, following after Paul and us, was crying out, saying, "These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation." 18 And this she did for many days. But Paul, being greatly annoyed and turning around, said to the spirit, "I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her." And he came out in that very hour. 19 And when her masters saw that the hope of their profit was gone, they took Paul and Silas, and dragged them to the marketplace to the rulers. 20 And bringing them to the magistrates they said, "These men, being Jews, are agitating our city; 21 and they are proclaiming customs which are not lawful for us to receive or to do, since we are Romans." 22 And the crowd rose up together against them; and the magistrates tore their clothes and ordered men to beat them with rods. 23 And when they laid many strokes on them, they cast them into prison, commanding the prison keeper to keep them securely; 24 who, having received such a command, cast them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks. 25 Now about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. 26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and all the bonds were loosed. 27 And becoming awake, the prison keeper, seeing the doors of the prison open, drawing a sword, he was about to kill himself, supposing the prisoners to have escaped. 28 But Paul called out with a loud voice, saying, "Do to yourself nothing bad, for we are all here." 29 And asking for a light he rushed in, and coming trembling, he fell before Paul and Silas, 30 and he brought them forth outside and said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" 31 And they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, you and your household." 32 And they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all those in his house. 33 And taking them along in that same hour of the night and washed their wounds, and immediately he and all his family were baptized. 34 And bringing them up into his house, he set a meal before them; and he rejoiced with his whole house, having believed in God. 35 Now when it became day, the magistrates sent the officers, saying, "Release those men." 36 And the prison keeper announced these words to Paul, saying, "The magistrates have sent so that you may be released. Now therefore depart, and go in peace." 37 But Paul said to them, "They beat us publicly, although we were uncondemned Romans, and they cast us into prison, and now do they cast us out secretly? No indeed! Let them come themselves and lead us out." 38 And the officers related to the magistrates these words, and they were afraid when they heard that they were Romans. 39 And coming, the appealed to them, and bringing them out, and asked them to depart from the city. 40 And coming out from the prison, they entered into the house of Lydia; and seeing the brothers, they encouraged them and departed.

Romans 1:26-27

26 For this reason God gave them up to passions of dishonor; for even their females exchanged the natural use for that which is contrary to nature, 27 and likewise also the males, having forsaken the natural use of the female, were inflamed by their lust for one another, males with males, committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was fitting for their error.

Romans 1:18-32

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven upon all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. 19 Because that which is known of God is manifest among them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things made, both His eternal power and Divinity, so that they are without excuse. 21 Because, having known God, they did not glorify Him as God, or give thanks, but became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God for a likeness of an image of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and reptiles. 24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of the own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. 28 And just as they did not approve to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do the things which are not fitting; 29 having been filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, greed, malice; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness; they are whisperers, 30 slanderers, hateful to God, insolent men, proud, braggarts, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, having known the righteous judgment of God, that those practicing such things are worthy of death, not only do them, but also approve of those who practice them.

1 Corinthians 6:9

9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,

Romans 13:10-14

10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. 11 And do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for us to be roused out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we believed. 12 The night is advanced, the day is at hand. Therefore let us put off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelries and drinking bouts, not in orgies and debaucheries, not in strife and jealousy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, for its lusts.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11

9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor covetous, nor thieves, nor drunkards, nor abusive people, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you! But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

Proverbs 16:28

28 A perverse man spreads mischief, and will kindle a torch of deceit with mischief, and he separates friends.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Luke 16:13
