¹¹ The Lorde gaue the worde: great was the company of the preachers

²⁸ Who is the father of the rayne? or who hath begotten the droppes of the deawe ²⁹ Out of whose wombe came the yce? Who hath gendred the coldnesse of the ayre ³⁰ That the waters are hidde as [with] a stone, and lye congealed aboue the deepe

³⁸ Nowe it came to passe, that as they went, he entred into a certayne towne: And a certayne woma, named Martha, receaued hym into her house ³⁹ And this woman had a sister called Marie, whiche also sate at Iesus feete, and hearde his worde ⁴⁰ But Martha was cumbred about much seruing, and came to hym, & saide: Lorde, doest thou not care that my sister hath lefte me to serue alone? Byd her therfore that she helpe me ⁴¹ And Iesus aunswered, and sayde vnto her: Martha, Martha, thou art carefull, and troubled about many thynges ⁴² Ueryly one is needefull. Mary hath chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her

⁴² But Iesus, when he had called them to hym, sayde vnto them: ye knowe, that they which seeme to beare rule among the Gentiles, raigne as Lordes ouer them: And they that be great among them, exercise aucthoritie vpon them ⁴³ Neuerthelesse, so shall it not be among you: but whosoeuer of you, wyll be great among you, shalbe your minister ⁴⁴ And whosoeuer of you wyll be the chiefest, shalbe seruaunt of all ⁴⁵ For the sonne of man also came not to be ministred vnto: but to minister, & to geue his lyfe, a raunsome for many

And one is hungry, and another is drunken ²² Haue ye not houses to eate & to drynke in? Despise ye the Churche of God, and shame them that haue not? What shall I say vnto you, shall I prayse you in this, I prayse you not ²³ That which I deliuered vnto you, I receaued of the Lorde. For the Lord Iesus, the same nyght in the which he was betrayed, toke bread ²⁴ And when he had geuen thankes, he brake it, and sayde: Take ye [and] eate, this is my body which is broke for you: This do ye in the remembraunce of me ²⁵ After the same maner also [he toke] the cup, when he had supped, saying: This cup is the newe testament in my blood: This do as oft as ye drynke it, in remembraunce of me ²⁶ For as often as ye shal eate this bread, and drynke this cup, ye shall shewe the Lordes death tyll he come ²⁷ Wherfore, whosoeuer shall eate this bread, and drynke this cup of the Lorde vnworthyly, shalbe gyltie of the body and blood of the Lorde ²⁸ But let a man examine hym selfe, and so let hym eate of this bread, and drinke of this cuppe ²⁹ For he that eateth and drynketh vnworthyly, eateth and drynketh his owne dampnation, [because] he maketh no difference of the Lordes body ³⁰ For this cause many are weake and sicke among you, and many slepe ³¹ For yf we woulde iudge our selues, we shoulde not be iudged ³² But when we are iudged, we are chastened of the Lorde, that we shoulde not be dampned with the worlde ³³ Wherfore my brethren, when ye come together to eate, tary one for another ³⁴ If any man hunger, let hym eate at home, that ye come not together vnto condempnation. Other thynges wyll I set in order when I come

⁹ And the same man had foure daughters, virgins, which dyd prophesie

³ Yea, and I beseche thee also faythfull yockefelowe, helpe those [women] which laboured with me in the Gospell, and with Clement also, and with other my labour felowes, whose names [are] in the booke of lyfe

⁹ When [Iesus] was rysen early, the first [day] after the Sabboth, he appeared firste to Marie Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seuen deuils

⁴ And Debora a prophetisse, the wife of Lapidoth, iudged Israel the same time

⁸ And they remembred his wordes ⁹ And returned from the sepulchre, and tolde all these thinges vnto those eleuen, and to all the remnaunt ¹⁰ It was Marie Magdalene, and Ioanna, and Marie Iacobi, and other that were with them, which tolde these thinges vnto the Apostles ¹¹ And their wordes seemed vnto them fayned thynges, neither beleued they them

²⁶ And the same began to speake boldly in the synagogue. Whom when Aquila and Priscilla had hearde, they toke him vnto them, and expounded vnto him the way of God more perfectly

¹⁷ And it shalbe in the last dayes (sayth God) of my spirite I wyll powre out vpon all fleshe: And your sonnes and your daughters shall prophesie, and your young men shall see visions, and your olde men shall dreame dreames

²⁷ So God created man in his owne image, in the image of God created he him, male and female created he them
