⁶ Jesus says to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father, if not by Me.

¹² Therefore Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. The one following Me shall not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”

¹⁴ For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

⁹ Anyone going on ahead, and not abiding in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. The one abiding in the teaching, this one has both the Father and the Son. ¹⁰ If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into the house, and do not tell him to rejoice. ¹¹ For the one telling him to rejoice partakes in his evil works.

⁸ Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and to the ages. ⁹ Do not be carried away by various and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, in which those being devoted were not profited.

¹ But the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons,

⁸ Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is venerable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if any excellence and if any praise—think on these things.

¹⁶ Do you not know that you yourselves are God’s temple, and the Spirit of God dwells in you?

²¹ but test all things. Hold fast to the good. ²² Abstain from every form of evil.

¹⁰ Then Jesus says to him, “Get you away, Satan! For it has been written: ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him alone shall you serve.’”

⁷ But refuse profane and silly fables. Rather, train yourself to godliness. ⁸ For bodily exercise is of a little profit, but godliness is profitable for everything, holding the promise of the present life and of the one coming.
