⁷ And he was preaching, saying, “He who comes after me is mightier than I, of whom I am not sufficient, having stooped down, to untie the strap of His sandals.

¹¹ I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but after me is coming He who is mightier than I, of whom I am not worthy to carry the sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire,

²¹ For to this hereunto you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example that you should follow after His steps:

¹⁶ John answered all saying, “I indeed baptize you with water, but the One mightier than I comes, of whom I am not worthy to untie the strap of His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire,

²² And the father said to his servants, ‘Quickly bring out the best robe and clothe him, and give him a ring for his hand and sandals for his feet;

¹⁵ And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it has been written: “How beautiful are the feet of those proclaiming good news of good things!”

¹⁵ and having shod the feet with the readiness of the gospel of peace;

³³ And the Lord said to him, ‘Take off the sandal of your feet, for the place on which you stand is holy ground.
