³ “Blessed are the poor in the spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens. ⁴ Blessed are those mourning, for they will be comforted. ⁵ Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. ⁶ Blessed are those hungering and thirsting for righteousness, for they will be filled. ⁷ Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy. ⁸ Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. ⁹ Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. ¹⁰ Blessed are those having been persecuted on account of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens. ¹¹ Blessed are you when they shall insult you and shall persecute you, and lying shall say all kinds of evil against you on account of Me. ¹² Rejoice and exult, because great is your reward in the heavens; for thus they persecuted the prophets before you.

²⁵ And when you may stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive it, so that your Father in the heavens also might forgive you your trespasses.”

²⁴ leave your gift there before the altar and first go away, be reconciled to your brother; and then having come, offer your gift.

³⁷ And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ ³⁸ This is the great and first commandment. ³⁹ And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ ⁴⁰ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

⁹ Therefore pray you like this: ‘Our Father in the heavens, hallowed be Your name! ¹⁰ Your kingdom come. Your will be done as in heaven, so also upon earth. ¹¹ Our daily bread, grant us today. ¹² And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. ¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.’

¹⁵ And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body. And be thankful.

¹⁷ But the wisdom from above is indeed first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and of good fruits, impartial, sincere. ¹⁸ And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those making peace.

¹⁴ Pursue peace with all, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord,

²² But I say to you that everyone being angry with his brother will be liable to the judgment, and whoever shall say to his brother ‘Raca,’ will be liable to the Sanhedrin. But whoever shall say, ‘Fool!’ will be liable to the Gehenna of fire.

³¹ And as you desire that men should do to you, do likewise to them.

⁶ Be anxious about nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. ⁷ And the peace of God, surpassing all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

¹³ and to esteem them exceedingly in love, because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.

¹ Therefore I, the prisoner in the Lord, exhort you to walk worthily of the calling to which you were called, ² with all humility and gentleness; with patience bearing with one another in love; ³ being diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace; ⁴ one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called into one hope of your calling; ⁵ one Lord, one faith, one baptism; ⁶ one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. ⁷ Now to each one of us grace has been given according to the measure of the gift of Christ. ⁸ Therefore it says: “Having ascended on high, He led captive captivity, and gave gifts to men.” ⁹ Now what is “He ascended,” except that He also descended into the lower regions of the earth? ¹⁰ The One having descended is also the same one having ascended above all the heavens, so that He might fill all things. ¹¹ And He gave some indeed to be apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some shepherds and teachers, ¹² toward the perfecting of the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ, ¹³ until we all may attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a complete man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, ¹⁴ so that no longer we might be infants, being tossed by waves and being carried about by every wind of teaching in the cunning, in the craftiness of men with a view to the scheming of deceit. ¹⁵ But speaking the truth in love, we should grow up in all things into Him who is the head, Christ, ¹⁶ from whom the whole body, being joined together and being held together by every ligament of its supply, according to the working in the measure of each individual part, the increase of the body makes for itself, to the building up of itself in love. ¹⁷ This therefore I say and testify in the Lord: You are no longer to walk as also the Gentiles are walking, in the futility of their mind, ¹⁸ being darkened in the understanding, being alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance being in them on account of the hardness of their heart, ¹⁹ who, having cast off all feeling, have given themselves up to sensuality for the working of all impurity, with greediness for more. ²⁰ But you have not learned Christ this way, ²¹ if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him just as the truth is in Jesus. ²² You are to have put off, concerning the former way of life, the old man, which is being corrupted according to its desires of deceit, ²³ and to be renewed in the spirit of your mind, ²⁴ and to have put on the new man, having been created according to God in righteousness and holiness of truth. ²⁵ Therefore having put off falsehood, let each one speak truth with his neighbor, because we are members of one another. ²⁶ “Be angry, and yet do not sin.” Let not the sun set upon your anger, ²⁷ neither give opportunity to the devil. ²⁸ The one stealing, let him steal no longer, but rather let him toil, working with the own hands what is good, so that he may have something to impart to the one having need. ²⁹ Do not let any unwholesome word go forth out of your mouth, but only good, for edification of the need, so that it may give grace to those hearing. ³⁰ And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. ³¹ Let all bitterness, and rage, and anger, and clamor, and slander, be removed from you, along with all malice. ³² And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, as also in Christ God forgave you.

¹² All things therefore, as many as you might desire that men should do to you, so also you do to them, for this is the law and the prophets.

¹⁸ if possible of you, living at peace with all men;

⁹ Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
