Matthew 7:1-29

1 Do not judge, lest you should be judged. 2 For with that verdict you pronounce, you will be judged; and with that measure you measure, it will be measured to you. 3 And why do you look at the splinter in your brother’s eye, but not notice the beam in your own eye? 4 Or how shall you say to your brother, ‘Permit that I might cast out the splinter from your eye,’ and behold, the beam is in your eye? 5 Hypocrite! First cast out the beam from your eye, and then you will see clearly to cast out the splinter from the eye of your brother. 6 Do not give that which is holy to the dogs, nor cast your pearls before the pigs, lest they shall trample upon them with their feet, and having turned, tear you to pieces. 7 Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened unto you. 8 For everyone asking receives; and the one seeking finds; and to the one knocking, it will be opened. 9 Or which man is among you who, if his son will ask for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or also, if he will ask for a fish, will give him a serpent? 11 Therefore, if you, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in the heavens give good things to those asking Him! 12 All things therefore, as many as you might desire that men should do to you, so also you do to them, for this is the law and the prophets. 13 Enter through the narrow gate for wide is the gate and broad the way leading to destruction, and many are those entering through it. 14 For small is the gate and narrow the way leading to life, and few are those finding it. 15 Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 By their fruits you will recognize them. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 So every good tree bears good fruits, but the rotten tree bears bad fruits. 18 A good tree is not able to bear bad fruits, nor a bad tree to bear good fruits. 19 Every tree not bearing good fruit is cut down and is thrown into fire. 20 Then surely by their fruits you will recognize them. 21 Not everyone saying to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of My Father in the heavens. 22 Many will say to Me in that the day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare unto them, ‘I never knew you; depart you from Me, those working lawlessness.’ 24 Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house upon the rock. 25 And the rain came down, and the torrents came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house; and it did not fall, for its foundation had been lain upon the rock. 26 And everyone hearing these words of Mine and not acting on them, he will be likened to a foolish man who built his house upon the sand. 27 And the rain came down, and the torrents came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house; and it fell—and great was its collapse!” 28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these words, the crowds were astonished at His teaching. 29 for He was teaching them as one having authority, and not as their scribes.

Matthew 15:1-39

1 Then Pharisees and scribes come to Jesus from Jerusalem, saying, 2 “Why do Your disciples break the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they shall eat bread.” 3 And answering He said to them, “Why also do you break the commandment of God on account of your tradition? 4 For God commanded, ‘Honor the Father and mother’ and, ‘The one speaking evil of father or mother, in death must end!’ 5 But you say, ‘Whoever shall say to the father or mother, “Whatever you might be profited by me is a gift,” 6 he shall not honor his father or his mother.’ And you made void the commandment of God on account of your tradition! 7 Hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied rightly concerning you, saying, 8 ‘This people honors Me with the lips, but their heart is kept far away from Me. 9 And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.’” 10 And having summoned the crowd, He said to them, “Hear and understand! 11 It is not what is entering into the mouth that defiles the man; but that going forth out of the mouth, this defiles the man.” 12 Then the disciples having approached, said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees, having heard this saying, were offended?” 13 And answering He said, “Every plant that My Heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up. 14 Leave them! They are blind guides of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.” 15 And Peter answering said to Him, “Explain this parable to us.” 16 And He said, “Are you also still without understanding? 17 Do you not yet understand that everything entering into the mouth goes into the stomach, and is cast out into the sewer? 18 But the things going forth out of the mouth come forth out of the heart, and these defile the man. 19 For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual immorality, thefts, false testimonies, slanders. 20 These are the things defiling the man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the man.” 21 And having gone forth from there, Jesus withdrew to the district of Tyre and Sidon. 22 And behold, a Canaanite woman from the same region having approached, was crying out saying, “Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is miserably possessed by a demon.” 23 But He did not answer her a word. And His disciples having approached, were imploring Him, saying, “Dismiss her, for she cries out after us!” 24 And answering He said, “I was sent only to those being lost sheep of the house of Israel.” 25 And having come, she was worshiping Him saying, “Lord, help me!” 26 And answering He said, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and to cast it to the dogs.” 27 And she said, “Yes Lord, but even the dogs eat the crumbs falling from their masters’ table.” 28 Then Jesus answering said to her, “O woman, great is your faith. It shall be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour. 29 And having departed from there, Jesus went along the Sea of Galilee, and having gone up on the mountain, He was sitting there. 30 And great crowds came to Him, having with them the lame, crippled, blind, mute, and many others. And they placed them at His feet, and He healed them, 31 so that the crowd marveled, seeing the mute speaking, the crippled restored, and the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel. 32 And Jesus, having called His disciples to Him, said, “I am moved with compassion toward the crowd, because they continue with Me three days already and have nothing that they might eat. And I am not willing to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.” 33 And the disciples say to Him, “From where will be to us in a secluded place so many loaves, as so great a crowd to satisfy?” 34 And Jesus says to them, “How many loaves do you have?” And they said, “Seven, and a few small fish.” 35 And having commanded the crowds to sit down on the ground, 36 having taken the seven loaves and the fish, and having given thanks, He broke them and kept giving them to the disciples, and the disciples to the crowd. 37 And all ate and were satisfied, and they took up that being over and above of the fragments, seven baskets full. 38 And those eating were four thousand men, besides women and children. 39 And having dismissed the crowds, He entered into the boat and came to the region of Magadan.

Luke 6:37

37 And do not judge that you should not be judged; and do not condemn that you should not be condemned; forgive and you will be forgiven.

John 4:23-24

23 But an hour is coming and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father also seeks such who worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and it behooves those worshiping Him to worship in spirit and truth.”

1 Timothy 2:1-15

1 First of all, therefore, I exhort entreaties, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings, to be made on behalf of all men 2 for kings and all those being in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and acceptable before God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 the One having given Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony in their own proper times, 7 in regard to which I was appointed a herald and an apostle—I am speaking the truth; I do not lie—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. 8 Therefore I desire the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, apart from anger and dissension. 9 Likewise also women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, 10 but with what is becoming to women, professing the fear of God through good works. 11 Let a woman learn in quietness, in all submissiveness. 12 But I do not permit a woman to teach, nor to use authority over a man, but to be in quietness. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman, having been deceived, has come into transgression. 15 But she will be saved through childbearing, if they abide in faith and love and holiness, with self-restraint.

Colossians 3:12

12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on hearts of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,

Philippians 4:5

5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is near.

1 Corinthians 14:40

40 But let all things be done properly and with order.

Colossians 4:5-6

5 Walk in wisdom toward those outside, redeeming the time. 6 Let your speech be always in grace, having been seasoned with salt, to know how it behooves you to answer each one.
