²⁸ But I say to you that everyone looking upon a woman in order to lust after her already has committed adultery with her in his heart.

⁵ overthrowing arguments, and every high thing lifting itself up against the knowledge of God, and taking captive every thought into the obedience of Christ,

² Set your minds on the things above, not the things on the earth. ³ For you have died, and your life has been hidden with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ your life may be revealed, then you also will appear with Him in glory. ⁵ Therefore put to death the members which are upon the earth: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry,

⁸ Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is venerable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if any excellence and if any praise—think on these things. ⁹ And what you have learned and have received and have heard and have seen in me, practice these things. And the God of peace will be with you.

²⁵ And which of you, being anxious, is able to add one hour to his lifespan? ²⁶ If, then, you cannot even do the least, why are you anxious about the rest?

³⁰ I am able to do nothing of Myself. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My will, but the will of the One having sent Me.

⁹ But if they do not have self-control, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

⁴ Love is patient, love is kind, love is not envious, it is not boastful, it is not puffed up. ⁵ It does not act unbecomingly, it does not seek the things of its own, it is not easily provoked, it keeps no account of wrongs. ⁶ It does not delight at unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth. ⁷ It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

²² Now flee youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those calling on the Lord out of pure a heart.
