³³ I have spoken these things to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world.”

¹ Do not judge, lest you should be judged. ² For with that verdict you pronounce, you will be judged; and with that measure you measure, it will be measured to you. ³ And why do you look at the splinter in your brother’s eye, but not notice the beam in your own eye? ⁴ Or how shall you say to your brother, ‘Permit that I might cast out the splinter from your eye,’ and behold, the beam is in your eye? ⁵ Hypocrite! First cast out the beam from your eye, and then you will see clearly to cast out the splinter from the eye of your brother.

³ And not only so, but also we glory in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; ⁴ and perseverance, character; and character, hope. ⁵ And hope does not make us ashamed, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, the One having been given to us.

¹² Blessed is the man who endures trial, because, having been approved, he will receive the crown of life that He has promised to those loving Him.

² Esteem it all joy, my brothers, when you might fall into various trials, ³ knowing that testing of your faith produces endurance. ⁴ And let endurance have its perfect work, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

¹ Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, each one who is judging. For in that which you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, for you, the one judging, do the same things.

¹² Beloved, do not be surprised at the fire among you taking place for a trial to you, as if a strange thing were happening to you.
