⁹ Or do you not know that the unrighteous ones will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, ¹⁰ nor thieves, nor coveters, not drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.

¹⁵ Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone should love the world, the love of the Father is not in him, ¹⁶ because all that is in the world, the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the vaunting of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. ¹⁷ And the world is passing away, and its desire; but the one doing the will of God abides to the age.

²⁴ Do not judge according to appearance, but judge the righteous judgment.”

⁴ Let marriage be honorable in all, and the marriage bed undefiled; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.

¹ If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become a sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. ² And if I should have prophecy and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I should have all faith so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. ³ And if I may give away all my possessions, and I may deliver up my body that I may boast, but have not love, I am profited nothing. ⁴ Love is patient, love is kind, love is not envious, it is not boastful, it is not puffed up. ⁵ It does not act unbecomingly, it does not seek the things of its own, it is not easily provoked, it keeps no account of wrongs. ⁶ It does not delight at unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth. ⁷ It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. ⁸ Love never fails; but if there are prophesies, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will be ceased; if there is knowledge it will pass away. ⁹ For we know in part and we prophesy in part; ¹⁰ but when the perfect should come, the partial will be done away. ¹¹ When I was a child, I was speaking like a child, I was thinking like a child, I was reasoning like a child; when I became a man, I did away with the things of the child. ¹² For presently we see through a glass in obscurity; but then, face to face. Presently, I know in part; but then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known. ¹³ But now these three things abide: faith, hope, love; but the greatest of these is love.

¹⁸ Flee sexual immorality. Every sin, whatever if a man might do, is outside the body, but the one sinning sexually sins against the own body.

³ For this is the will of God, your sanctification: You are to abstain from sexual immorality; ⁴ each of you to know how to win mastery over his own vessel in holiness and honor, ⁵ not in the passion of lust, as also the Gentiles, not knowing God;

³ whose adorning let not be the external, of braiding of hair and putting around of gold, or putting on of garments, ⁴ but the hidden man of the heart, in the imperishable of the gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth before God. ⁵ For in this way formerly, the holy women also hoping in God used to adorn themselves, being subject to the own husbands, ⁶ as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, of whom you have become children, doing good and not fearing any consternation. ⁷ Husbands do likewise, dwelling with them according to knowledge, as with a weaker vessel, with the female, rendering honor as joint-heirs also of the grace of life, so as for your prayers not to be hindered.
