¹⁶ Οὕτως (Thus) γὰρ (for) ἠγάπησεν (loved) ὁ (-) Θεὸς (God) τὸν (the) κόσμον (world), ὥστε (that) τὸν (the) Υἱὸν (Son), τὸν (the) μονογενῆ (only begotten), ἔδωκεν (He gave), ἵνα (so that) πᾶς (everyone) ὁ (-) πιστεύων (believing) εἰς (in) αὐτὸν (Him) μὴ (not) ἀπόληται (should perish), ἀλλ’ (but) ἔχῃ (should have) ζωὴν (life) αἰώνιον (eternal).

²⁸ κἀγὼ (and I) δίδωμι (give) αὐτοῖς (them) ζωὴν (life) αἰώνιον (eternal); καὶ (and) οὐ (never) μὴ (not) ἀπόλωνται (shall they perish), εἰς (to) τὸν (the) αἰῶνα (age), καὶ (and) οὐχ (never) ἁρπάσει (will seize) τις (anyone) αὐτὰ (them) ἐκ (out of) τῆς (the) χειρός (hand) μου (of Me). ²⁹ ὁ (The) Πατήρ (Father) μου (of Me) ὃ (who) δέδωκέν (has given them) μοι (to Me), πάντων (than all) μεῖζόν (greater) ἐστιν (is), καὶ (and) οὐδεὶς (no one) δύναται (is able) ἁρπάζειν (to seize them) ἐκ (out of) τῆς (the) χειρὸς (hand) τοῦ (the) Πατρός (Father). ³⁰ ἐγὼ (I) καὶ (and) ὁ (the) Πατὴρ (Father) ἕν (one) ἐσμεν (are).”

⁶ ἀλλ’ (yet) ἡμῖν (to us) εἷς (there is one) Θεὸς (God), ὁ (the) Πατήρ (Father), ἐξ (of) οὗ (whom are) τὰ (the things) πάντα (all), καὶ (and) ἡμεῖς (we) εἰς (for) αὐτόν (Him); καὶ (and) εἷς (one) Κύριος (Lord), Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) Χριστός (Christ), δι’ (by) οὗ (whom are) τὰ (the things) πάντα (all), καὶ (and) ἡμεῖς (we) δι’ (through) αὐτοῦ (Him).

⁴ Καὶ (And) οἱ (-) πατέρες (fathers), μὴ (not) παροργίζετε (provoke) τὰ (the) τέκνα (children) ὑμῶν (of you), ἀλλὰ (but) ἐκτρέφετε (bring up) αὐτὰ (them) ἐν (in) παιδείᾳ (the discipline) καὶ (and) νουθεσίᾳ (admonition) Κυρίου (of the Lord).

⁹ καὶ (And) πατέρα (father) μὴ (no one) καλέσητε (call) ὑμῶν (of you) ἐπὶ (on) τῆς (the) γῆς (earth); εἷς (One) γάρ (for) ἐστιν (is) ὑμῶν (of you) ὁ (the) Πατὴρ (Father), ὁ (who is) οὐράνιος (in heaven).
