³⁶ Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law? ³⁷ Jesus said to him: You shall love the Lord your God with your whole heart, and with your whole soul, and with your whole mind. ³⁸ This is the first and great commandment. ³⁹ And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

¹⁵ And if your brother sin against you, go and tell him of his fault between you and him alone; if he hear you, you have gained your brother. ¹⁶ But if he will not hear you, take with you one or two more, that, by the mouth of two or three witnesses, every word may be established. ¹⁷ But if he refuse to hear them, tell it to the church; and if he also refuse to hear the church, let him be to you as a heathen man and a publican.

¹⁷ So, then, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. ¹⁸ And all these things are from God, who has reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation; ¹⁹ that is, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to him self, not charging their offenses to them, and he has committed to us the word of reconciliation. ²⁰ Therefore, we act as ambassadors for Christ, as though God entreated through us; we beseech in Christ's stead, be reconciled to God: ²¹ for he has made him, who knew no sin, a sin-offering for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in him.

¹ As co-workers with him, we beseech you, that you receive not the grace of God in vain: ² (for he says: I have heard thee in an acceptable time, and in the day of salvation I have helped thee. Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation:)

³⁰ For we know him who has said, Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord. And again, The Lord will judge his people.

¹ Judge not, that you may not be judged: ² for with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged: and with what measure you measure, it shall be measured to you.

¹³ bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if any one have a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so also do you:

² with all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, bearing with one another in love,

⁵ so, even for this very purpose, uniting to these things all diligence, add to your faith, virtue; and to virtue, knowledge; ⁶ and to knowledge, temperance; and to temperance, patience; and to patience, godliness; ⁷ and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. ⁸ For if these things be in you, and abound, they cause you to be neither idle, nor unfruitful as it respects the acknowledgment of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁸ Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue, or any praise, think of these things.
