³⁵ And on the same day, when it was evening, he said to them: Let us go over to the opposite side. ³⁶ And when they had sent the multitude away, they took him with them, as he was in the ship; and there were other little ships with him. ³⁷ And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves dashed into the ship, so that it was now full. ³⁸ And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on the pillow. And they awoke him, and said to him: Teacher, carest thou not that we perish? ³⁹ And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea: Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. ⁴⁰ And he said to them: Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith? ⁴¹ And they were greatly afraid, and said one to another: Who, then, is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

⁹ and he said to me: My grace is sufficient for you; for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly, therefore, will I boast in my infirmities, that the power of the Christ may abide upon me.

¹⁹ But my God will supply all your need, according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

²³ And when he had entered the ship, his disciples followed him. ²⁴ And behold, there was a great tempest in the sea, so that the ship was covered by the waves: but he was asleep. ²⁵ And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying: Lord, save us; we perish. ²⁶ And he said to them: Why are you fearful, you of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea: and there was a great calm. ²⁷ But the men were astonished, and said: What man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!
