¹⁹ Know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, which you have from God, and that you are not your own? ²⁰ For you have been bought with a price: therefore, glorify God in your body.

¹⁷ Charge those who are rich in this age, that they be not proud, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us all things richly for our enjoyment, ¹⁸ that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, liberal, ¹⁹ treasuring up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

⁶ But godliness, with a contented disposition, is great gain. ⁷ For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain that we can carry nothing out.

⁷ But reject those profane and oldwomanish fables, and exercise yourself for godliness. ⁸ For the exercise of the body is profitable for little; but godliness is profitable for all things, and has the promise of the life that now is, and also of that which is to come.

²⁰ But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, ²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, in order to eternal life.

³³ But seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be given to you in addition.

⁴ For some men have stealthily entered in, who were long ago appointed to this condemnation; ungodly men, who pervert the grace of our God, and use it for lascivious purposes, and deny our only Sovereign and Lord, Jesus Christ.

¹ I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

¹ Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every pollution of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

⁷ and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.

⁵ having a form of godliness, but denying its power: from these also turn away.

¹² And all that will live godly in Christ Jesus, shall suffer persecution.
