Luke 4:33-36

33 And there was in the synagogue a man who had the spirit of an unclean demon; and he cried out with a loud voice, 34 saying: Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Nazarene? Hast thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. 35 And Jesus rebuked him, saying: Be silent, and come out of him. And the demon threw him into the midst, and came out of him, and hurt him not. 36 And amazement came upon all, and they spoke one to another, saying: "What teaching is this? for with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out.

Bring him to me. 20 And they brought him to him. And when he saw him, the spirit immediately threw him into convulsions; and he fell on the ground, and rolled himself, foaming. 21 And he asked his father: How long is it since this came upon him? He replied: From childhood. 22 And often it throws him into the fire, and into the water, to destroy him. But if you are able to do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us. 23 Jesus said to him: If you are able to believe, all things are possible to him that believes. 24 And immediately the father of the child cried out, and with tears said: Lord, I believe; help my unbelief. 25 When Jesus saw that a multitude came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, and said to it: Dumb and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and enter into him no more. 26 And the spirit cried out, and threw him into strong convulsions, and came out of him; and he was like one dead, so that many said: He is dead. 27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up, and he arose. 28 And when he had come into the house, his disciples asked him privately: Why were we not able to cast it out? 29 And he said to them: This kind can go out by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
