²² And Jesus answered and said to them: Have faith in God. ²³ For, verily I say to you, that whoever will say to this mountain, Be removed, and be cast into the sea, and will not doubt in his heart, but believe that what he says will come to pass, he shall have whatever he says. ²⁴ For this reason I say to you: All things that you ask for in prayer, believe that you will receive them, and they shall be yours. ²⁵ And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have any thing against any one, that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your offenses.

¹⁸ And Zachariah said to the angel: By what sign shall I know this? for I am old, and my wife is advanced in years. ¹⁹ And the angel answered and said to him: I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God; and I am sent to speak to you, and to announce to you this good news. ²⁰ And behold, you shall be dumb and not able to speak, till the day in which these things shall take place, because you did not believe my words, which shall be fulfilled in their proper time.

²³ But he that doubts is condemned, if he eat, because he eats not with faith. Every thing that is not of faith, is sin.

²⁴ And immediately the father of the child cried out, and with tears said: Lord, I believe; help my unbelief.

³⁸ And he said to them: Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts?

²⁷ Then he said to Thomas: Reach hither your finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither your hand, and put it into my side; and be not faithless, but believing.

³¹ And Jesus immediately stretched out his hand, and took hold of him, and said to him: you of little faith, why did you doubt?

⁵ Now, if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally, and upbraids not; and it shall be given him. ⁶ But let him ask in faith, doubting not: for he that doubts, is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind, and tossed. ⁷ For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing from the Lord. ⁸ A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.

²² And on some, have compassion, making a distinction:

²¹ Jesus answered and said to them: Verily I say to you, If you have faith, and doubt not, you shall do, not only what is done to the fig-tree, but even if you shall say to this mountain, Be taken up, and be thrown into the sea, it shall be done.

⁶ But let him ask in faith, doubting not: for he that doubts, is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind, and tossed.
