⁴ And Jesus answered and said unto them, { Take heed that no man lead you astray. ⁵ For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ; and shall lead many astray. ⁶ And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that ye be not troubled: for [these things] must needs come to pass; but the end is not yet. ⁷ For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines and earthquakes in divers places. ⁸ But all these things are the beginning of travail. ⁹ Then shall they deliver you up unto tribulation, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all the nations for my name's sake. ¹⁰ And then shall many stumble, and shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another. ¹¹ And many false prophets shall arise, and shall lead many astray. ¹² And because iniquity shall be multiplied, the love of the many shall wax cold. ¹³ But he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved. ¹⁴ And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a testimony unto all the nations; and then shall the end come.
¹⁵ When therefore ye see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place} (let him that readeth understand){, ¹⁶ then let them that are in Judζa flee unto the mountains: ¹⁷ let him that is on the housetop not go down to take out the things that are in his house: ¹⁸ and let him that is in the field not return back to take his cloak. ¹⁹ But woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days! ²⁰ And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on a sabbath: ²¹ for then shall be great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever shall be. ²² And except those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. ²³ Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is the Christ, or, Here; believe [it] not. ²⁴ For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. ²⁵ Behold, I have told you beforehand. ²⁶ If therefore they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the wilderness; go not forth: Behold, he is in the inner chambers; believe [it] not. ²⁷ For as the lightning cometh forth from the east, and is seen even unto the west; so shall be the coming of the Son of man. ²⁸ Wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
²⁹ But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: ³⁰ and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. ³¹ And he shall send forth his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

³⁶ But of that day and hour knoweth no one, not even the angels of heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only.

³ And as he sat on the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

¹³ Watch therefore, for ye know not the day nor the hour.

²⁴ For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.

⁶ But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, ⁷ Why doth this man thus speak? he blasphemeth: who can forgive sins but one, [even] God? ⁸ And straightway Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, saith unto them, { Why reason ye these things in your hearts? ⁹ Which is easier, to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins are forgiven; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? ¹⁰ But that ye may know that the Son of man hath authority on earth to forgive sins} (he saith to the sick of the palsy){, ¹¹ I say unto thee, Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thy house.} ¹² And he arose, and straightway took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

¹ And Jesus went out from the temple, and was going on his way; and his disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple. ² But he answered and said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

³² Now from the fig tree learn her parable: when her branch is now become tender, and putteth forth its leaves, ye know that the summer is nigh; ³³ even so ye also, when ye see all these things, know ye that he is nigh, [even] at the doors. ³⁴ Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all these things be accomplished. ³⁵ Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
³⁶ But of that day and hour knoweth no one, not even the angels of heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only. ³⁷ And as [were] the days of Noah, so shall be the coming of the Son of man. ³⁸ For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, ³⁹ and they knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall be the coming of the Son of man. ⁴⁰ Then shall two men be in the field; one is taken, and one is left: ⁴¹ two women [shall be] grinding at the mill; one is taken, and one is left. ⁴² Watch therefore: for ye know not on what day your Lord cometh. ⁴³ But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken through. ⁴⁴ Therefore be ye also ready; for in an hour that ye think not the Son of man cometh.
⁴⁵ Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath set over his household, to give them their food in due season? ⁴⁶ Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. ⁴⁷ Verily I say unto you, that he will set him over all that he hath. ⁴⁸ But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord tarrieth; ⁴⁹ and shall begin to beat his fellow-servants, and shall eat and drink with the drunken; ⁵⁰ the lord of that servant shall come in a day when he expecteth not, and in an hour when he knoweth not, ⁵¹ and shall cut him asunder, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.}

¹ The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show unto his servants, [even] the things which must shortly come to pass: and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John; ² who bare witness of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, [even] of all things that he saw. ³ Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things that are written therein: for the time is at hand.
⁴ John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace, from him who is and who was and who is to come; and from the seven Spirits that are before his throne; ⁵ and from Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loveth us, and loosed us from our sins by his blood; ⁶ and he made us [to be] a kingdom, [to be] priests unto his God and Father; to him [be] the glory and the dominion for ever and ever. Amen. ⁷ Behold, he cometh with the clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they that pierced him; and all the tribes of the earth shall mourn over him. Even so, Amen.
⁸ I am the Alpha and the Omega, saith the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.
⁹ I John, your brother and partaker with you in the tribulation and kingdom and patience [which are] in Jesus, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. ¹⁰ I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet ¹¹ saying, What thou seest, write in a book and send [it] to the seven churches: unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamum, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. ¹² And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And having turned I saw seven golden candlesticks; ¹³ and in the midst of the candlesticks one like unto a son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about at the breasts with a golden girdle. ¹⁴ And his head and his hair were white as white wool, [white] as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; ¹⁵ and his feet like unto burnished brass, as if it had been refined in a furnace; and his voice as the voice of many waters. ¹⁶ And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth proceeded a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. ¹⁷ And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as one dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying, { Fear not; I am the first and the last, ¹⁸ and the Living one; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive for evermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades. ¹⁹ Write therefore the things which thou sawest, and the things which are, and the things which shall come to pass hereafter; ²⁰ the mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks are seven churches.}

² Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: ³ and every spirit that confesseth not Jesus is not of God: and this is the [spirit] of the antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it cometh; and now it is in the world already.

¹ This is now, beloved, the second epistle that I write unto you; and in both of them I stir up your sincere mind by putting you in remembrance; ² that ye should remember the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and the commandment of the Lord and Saviour through your apostles: ³ knowing this first, that in the last days mockers shall come with mockery, walking after their own lusts, ⁴ and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for, from the day that the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. ⁵ For this they wilfully forget, that there were heavens from of old, and an earth compacted out of water and amidst water, by the word of God; ⁶ by which means the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: ⁷ but the heavens that now are, and the earth, by the same word have been stored up for fire, being reserved against the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
⁸ But forget not this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. ⁹ The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness; but is longsuffering to you-ward, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. ¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come as a thief; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall be dissolved with fervent heat, and the earth and the works that are therein shall be burned up. ¹¹ Seeing that these things are thus all to be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in [all] holy living and godliness, ¹² looking for and earnestly desiring the coming of the day of God, by reason of which the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? ¹³ But, according to his promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. ¹⁴ Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for these things, give diligence that ye may be found in peace, without spot and blameless in his sight. ¹⁵ And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given to him, wrote unto you; ¹⁶ as also in all [his] epistles, speaking in them of these things; wherein are some things hard to be understood, which the ignorant and unstedfast wrest, as [they do] also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. ¹⁷ Ye therefore, beloved, knowing [these things] beforehand, beware lest, being carried away with the error of the wicked, ye fall from your own stedfastness. ¹⁸ But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him [be] the glory both now and for ever. Amen.

²⁵ And there shall be signs in sun and moon and stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the billows;

⁷ Behold, he cometh with the clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they that pierced him; and all the tribes of the earth shall mourn over him. Even so, Amen.

¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come as a thief; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall be dissolved with fervent heat, and the earth and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

¹ And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth are passed away; and the sea is no more. ² And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. ³ And I heard a great voice out of the throne saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he shall dwell with them, and they shall be his peoples, and God himself shall be with them, [and be] their God: ⁴ and he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more; neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more: the first things are passed away. ⁵ And he that sitteth on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he saith, Write: for these words are faithful and true. ⁶ And he said unto me, They are come to pass. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. ⁷ He that overcometh shall inherit these things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. ⁸ But for the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part shall be in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death.
⁹ And there came one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls, who were laden with the seven last plagues; and he spake with me, saying, Come hither, I will show thee the bride, the wife of the Lamb. ¹⁰ And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, ¹¹ having the glory of God: her light was like unto a stone most precious, as it were a jasper stone, clear as crystal: ¹² having a wall great and high; having twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names written thereon, which are [the names] of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: ¹³ on the east were three gates; and on the north three gates; and on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. ¹⁴ And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. ¹⁵ And he that spake with me had for a measure a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. ¹⁶ And the city lieth foursquare, and the length thereof is as great as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs: the length and the breadth and the height thereof are equal. ¹⁷ And he measured the wall thereof, a hundred and forty and four cubits, [according to] the measure of a man, that is, of an angel. ¹⁸ And the building of the wall thereof was jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto pure glass. ¹⁹ The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald; ²⁰ the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst. ²¹ And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the several gates was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass. ²² And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God the Almighty, and the Lamb, are the temple thereof. ²³ And the city hath no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine upon it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the lamp thereof [is] the Lamb. ²⁴ And the nations shall walk amidst the light thereof: and the kings of the earth bring their glory into it. ²⁵ And the gates thereof shall in no wise be shut by day (for there shall be no night there): ²⁶ and they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it: ²⁷ and there shall in no wise enter into it anything unclean, or he that maketh an abomination and a lie: but only they that are written in the Lamb's book of life.
