¹⁷ every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of Jehovah thy God which he hath given thee.

⁵ Offer the sacrifices of righteousness,
And put your trust in Jehovah.

⁸ Will a man rob God? yet ye rob me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. ⁹ Ye are cursed with the curse; for ye rob me, even this whole nation. ¹⁰ Bring ye the whole tithe into the store-house, that there may be food in my house, and prove me now herewith, saith Jehovah of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough [to receive it]. ¹¹ And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast its fruit before the time in the field, saith Jehovah of hosts. ¹² And all nations shall call you happy; for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith Jehovah of hosts.

¹⁰ Bring ye the whole tithe into the store-house, that there may be food in my house, and prove me now herewith, saith Jehovah of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough [to receive it].

³¹ Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? ³² For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. ³³ But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

¹⁹ Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal: ²⁰ but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth consume, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: ²¹ for where thy treasure is, there will thy heart be also.

¹⁰ He that is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much: and he that is unrighteous in a very little is unrighteous also in much.

¹ And he looked up, and saw the rich men that were casting their gifts into the treasury. ² And he saw a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. ³ And he said, { Of a truth I say unto you, This poor widow cast in more than they all: ⁴ for all these did of their superfluity cast in unto the gifts; but she of her want did cast in all the living that she had.}

³⁵ In all things I gave you an example, that so laboring ye ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

⁴¹ And he sat down over against the treasury, and beheld how the multitude cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. ⁴² And there came a poor widow, and she cast in two mites, which make a farthing. ⁴³ And he called unto him his disciples, and said unto them, { Verily I say unto you, This poor widow cast in more than all they that are casting into the treasury: ⁴⁴ for they all did cast in of their superfluity; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, [even] all her living.}

⁹ Honor Jehovah with thy substance,
And with the first-fruits of all thine increase: ¹⁰ So shall thy barns be filled with plenty,
And thy vats shall overflow with new wine.

³⁸ give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall they give into your bosom. For with what measure ye mete it shall be measured to you again.}

⁷ [Let] each man [do] according as he hath purposed in his heart: not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
