² For wrath kills the foolish man, and envy slays the silly one.

² How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall my enemy be exalted over me? ³ Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death; ⁴ Lest my enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

²⁰ You, which have showed me great and sore troubles, shall quicken me again, and shall bring me up again from the depths of the earth. ²¹ You shall increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side. ²² I will also praise you with the psaltery, even your truth, O my God: to you will I sing with the harp, O you Holy One of Israel. ²³ My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing to you; and my soul, which you have redeemed. ²⁴ My tongue also shall talk of your righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought to shame, that seek my hurt.

¹⁵ But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

¹² And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. ¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For your is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

¹⁰ As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

⁷ Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

² And be not conformed to this world: but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

²³ For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

²³ Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judges righteously:

³⁷ Judge not, and you shall not be judged: condemn not, and you shall not be condemned: forgive, and you shall be forgiven:

¹⁶ Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

¹⁵ Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

⁴ Charity suffers long, and is kind; charity envies not; charity braggs not itself, is not puffed up, ⁵ Does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil; ⁶ Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; ⁷ Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

¹ Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. ² And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. ³ And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profits me nothing. ⁴ Charity suffers long, and is kind; charity envies not; charity braggs not itself, is not puffed up, ⁵ Does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil; ⁶ Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; ⁷ Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. ⁸ Charity never fails: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. ⁹ For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. ¹⁰ But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. ¹¹ When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. ¹² For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. ¹³ And now stays faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

³¹ Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

¹⁰ But the God of all grace, who has called us to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that you have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you.

²⁵ And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
