¹² So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.

³⁶ For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? ³⁷ Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

¹⁵ If you love me, keep my commandments.

⁵ And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.

³⁸ Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. ³⁹ And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word. ⁴⁰ But Martha was encumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. ⁴¹ And Jesus answered and said to her, Martha, Martha, you are careful and troubled about many things: ⁴² But one thing is needful: and Mary has chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

³ You shall have no other gods before me.

²² And he said to his disciples, Therefore I say to you, Take no thought for your life, what you shall eat; neither for the body, what you shall put on. ²³ The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. ²⁴ Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them: how much more are you better than the fowls? ²⁵ And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? ²⁶ If you then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take you thought for the rest? ²⁷ Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say to you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. ²⁸ If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith? ²⁹ And seek not you what you shall eat, or what you shall drink, neither be you of doubtful mind. ³⁰ For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knows that you have need of these things. ³¹ But rather seek you the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added to you. ³² Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. ³³ Sell that you have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that fails not, where no thief approaches, neither moth corrupts. ³⁴ For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

⁵ (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

³⁴ For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

² And be not conformed to this world: but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

³³ But seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.
