¹⁸ You shall not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.

²² Say not you, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save you.

¹² Hatred stirs up strifes: but love covers all sins.

⁴³ You have heard that it has been said, You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy. ⁴⁴ But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which spitefully use you, and persecute you; ⁴⁵ That you may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he makes his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

¹ Judge not, that you be not judged. ² For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged: and with what measure you mete, it shall be measured to you again. ³ And why behold you the mote that is in your brother's eye, but consider not the beam that is in your own eye? ⁴ Or how will you say to your brother, Let me pull out the mote out of your eye; and, behold, a beam is in your own eye? ⁵ You hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of your own eye; and then shall you see clearly to cast out the mote out of your brother's eye.

¹⁰ But why do you judge your brother? or why do you set at nothing your brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. ¹¹ For it is written, As I live, said the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. ¹² So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

²⁶ Be you angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down on your wrath:

¹² He that is void of wisdom despises his neighbor: but a man of understanding holds his peace.

³¹ Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: ³² And be you kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you.

¹⁸ There is that speaks like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.

¹⁶ A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covers shame.

²⁶ If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridles not his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

¹¹ Speak not evil one of another, brothers. He that speaks evil of his brother, and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law, and judges the law: but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law, but a judge. ¹² There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who are you that judge another?
