Bible verses about "virginity" | ACV

1 Corinthians 7:32-35

32 But I want you to be without worry. The unmarried man cares for things of the Lord, how he will please the Lord. 33 But he who is married cares for things of the world, how he will please his wife. 34 And the wife and the virgin are differentiated. The unmarried woman is concerned for the things of the Lord, so that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But she who is married is concerned for the things of the world, how she will please her husband. 35 And I say this for your own benefit, not that I may cast restraint upon you, but for what is respectable and assiduous toward the Lord, undistracted.

1 Thessalonians 4:3-5

3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification, for you to abstain from fornication, 4 for each of you to know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and reverence, 5 not in passion of lust, as also the Gentiles who have not known God,

Deuteronomy 22:13-21

13 If any man takes a wife, and goes in to her, and dislikes her, 14 and charges her with shameful things, and brings up an evil name upon her, and says, I took this woman, and when I came near to her, I did not find in her the tokens of virginity, 15 then the father of the damsel, and her mother, shall take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity to the elders of the city in the gate. 16 And the damsel's father shall say to the elders, I gave my daughter to this man to wife, and he dislikes her. 17 And, lo, he has charged her with shameful things, saying, I did not find in thy daughter the tokens of virginity, and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the garment before the elders of the city. 18 And the elders of that city shall take the man and chastise him, 19 and they shall fine him a hundred shekels of silver, and give them to the father of the damsel, because he has brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel, and she shall be his wife. He may not put her away all his days. 20 But if this thing be true, that the tokens of virginity were not found in the damsel, 21 then they shall bring the damsel out to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death with stones, because she has wrought folly in Israel, to play the harlot in her father's house. So shall thou put away the evil from the midst of thee.

Romans 12:1-2

1 I beseech you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this age, but be ye transformed by the renewal of your mind, for ye to approve what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Revelation 14:4

4 These are men who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are those who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These were purchased by Jesus, out of men, a first fruit to God and to the Lamb.

Mark 10:6-8

6 But from the beginning of creation God made them male and female. 7 Because of this a man will leave his father and mother behind, and will be bonded with his wife, 8 and the two will be in one flesh. So then they are no more two, but one flesh.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11

9 Or know ye not that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not led astray. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate men, nor homosexuals, 10 nor greedy men, nor thieves, nor drunkards, nor the slanderous, nor the predatory will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And some of you were these things, but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were made righteous in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

1 Corinthians 6:18-20

18 Flee fornication. Every sin, whatever a man may do, is outside the body, but he who fornicates sins against his own body. 19 Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit in you, which ye have from God? And ye are not your own, 20 for ye were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and your spirit, which is of God.

1 Thessalonians 4:3-8

3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification, for you to abstain from fornication, 4 for each of you to know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and reverence, 5 not in passion of lust, as also the Gentiles who have not known God, 6 not to transgress and to cheat his brother in the affair, because the Lord is vengeful about all these things, as also we forewarned you and solemnly testified. 7 For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in sanctification. 8 Therefore he who disregards, disregards not man, but God, who also gave his Holy Spirit to you.

1 Corinthians 7:8-9

8 But I say to the unmarried and to the widows, it is good for them if they remain even as I. 9 But if they have no self-control they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn.

4 Marriage is precious in every way, and the undefiled bed, but God will judge fornicators and adulterers.
