²¹ Ye have heard that it was said to them in old times, Thou shall not murder, and whoever murders will be liable to the judgment. ²² But I say to you, that every man who is angry at his brother without cause will be liable to the judgment, and whoever speaks an insult to his brother will be liable to the council, and whoever says, Foolish man, will be liable to the hell of fire.

¹ Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but examine the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

¹⁴ What is the benefit, my brothers, if some man should say to have faith, but has no works? Can the faith save him? ¹⁵ And if a brother or sister may be unclothed, and may be destitute of daily food, ¹⁶ and some man of you would say to them, Go in peace, be ye warmed and fed, but ye would not give them the things necessary for the body, what is the benefit? ¹⁷ So also faith, if it has no works, is dead by itself.
