Psalms 1:1-6

1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers, 2 but his delight is in the law of LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. And whatever he does shall prosper. 4 The wicked are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away. 5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.

Psalms 66:1

1 Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth.

7 when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Nehemiah 12:31-43

31 Then I brought up the rulers of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies that gave thanks and went in procession, one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate, 32 and after them went Hoshaiah, and half of the rulers of Judah, 33 and Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam, 34 Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah, 35 and certain of the priests' sons with trumpets: Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph, 36 and his brothers, Shemaiah, and Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God, and Ezra the scribe was ahead of them. 37 And by the fountain gate, and straight before them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the ascent of the wall, above the house of David, even to the water gate eastward. 38 And the other company of those who gave thanks went to meet them, and I after them, with the half of the people, upon the wall, above the tower of the furnaces, even to the broad wall, 39 and above the gate of Ephraim, and by the old gate, and by the fish gate, and the tower of Hananel, and the tower of Hammeah, even to the sheep gate. And they stood still in the gate of the guard. 40 So stood the two companies of those who gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me, 41 and the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets, 42 and Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer. 43 And they offered great sacrifices that day, and rejoiced, for God had made them rejoice with great joy. And the women also and the children rejoiced, so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.

We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, and bless his name. 5 For LORD is good. His loving kindness is forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

2 Chronicles 5:12-14

12 Also the Levites who were the singers, all of them, even Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and their sons and their brothers, arrayed in fine linen, with cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them a hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets), 13 it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking LORD. And when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised LORD, saying, For he is good. For his loving kindness is forever, that the house was then filled with a cloud, even the house of LORD, 14 so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud. For the glory of LORD filled the house of God.
