³⁴ Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, that every man who does the sin is a bondman of the sin.

¹⁶ to deliver thee from the interloping woman, even from the stranger who flatters with her words, ¹⁷ who forsakes the companion of her youth, and forgets the covenant of her God ¹⁸ (for her house inclines to death, and her paths to the dead; ¹⁹ none who go to her return again, nor do they attain to the paths of life), ²⁰ that thou may walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous. ²¹ For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it. ²² But the wicked shall be cut off from the land, and the treacherous shall be rooted out of it.

³ For though walking in flesh, we do not war according to flesh. ⁴ For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty in God for the demolition of strongholds, ⁵ casting down imaginations, and every high thing exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought captive into the obedience of the Christ,

¹⁸ Flee fornication. Every sin, whatever a man may do, is outside the body, but he who fornicates sins against his own body.

²⁵ Husbands, love your own wives even as Christ also loved the church, and delivered himself up for it,

²⁸ But I say to you, that every man who looks on a woman to crave her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

¹³ He who covers his transgressions shall not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them shall obtain mercy.

³² But I say to you, that whoever may divorce his wife apart from a matter of fornication, disposes her to commit adultery, and whoever may marry her who has been divorced commits adultery.

⁴ Marriage is precious in every way, and the undefiled bed, but God will judge fornicators and adulterers.
