³¹ Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

²⁴ Know ye not that they who run in a race, all indeed run, but one receives the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. ²⁵ And every one who contends for the prize is temperate in all things; they indeed to obtain a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible. ²⁶ I therefore so run, as not uncertainly; I so fight, as not beating the air. ²⁷ But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection; lest haply, having preached to others, I myself should be rejected.

²³ meekness, temperance; against such things there is no law.

¹⁴ I pursue on toward the mark, for the prize of the heavenly calling of God in Christ Jesus.

⁸ or he that exhorts, on the exhortation; he that gives, [let him do it] with simplicity; he that presides, with diligence; he that shows mercy, with cheerfulness. ⁹ Let love be unfeigned. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. In brotherly love, ¹⁰ be kindly affectioned one to another; in honor, preferring one another;

¹³ I can do all things, in him who strengthens me.

¹⁴ Do all without murmurings and disputings;

⁷ But the profane and silly fables avoid, and exercise thyself unto godliness. ⁸ For bodily exercise is profitable for little; but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

² Let each one of us please his neighbor, for his good, to edification.

²³ Whatever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not to men;

⁵ And if a man also contends in the games, he is not crowned, unless he contends lawfully.
