²⁶ And the king became very sorrowful; but for the sake of his oath, and of those reclining with him, he would not reject her.

²¹ And they, having further threatened them, let them go, finding no way to punish them, on account of the people, because all glorified God for that which was done;

³⁸ Pilate says to him: What is truth? And having said this, he went out again to the Jews, and says to them: I find no fault in him.

²² These words spoke his parents, because they feared the Jews; for the Jews had agreed already, that if any one acknowledged him as Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.

²⁴ For, the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you, as it is written.

¹⁹ So that, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;

¹ JUDGE not, that ye be not judged. ² For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you.

⁴³ for they loved the glory of men more than the glory of God.

¹⁰ But why dost thou judge thy brother? Or why dost thou despise thy brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment-seat of God. ¹¹ For it is written: As I live, saith the Lord, to me every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess to God. ¹² So then, each one of us shall give account of himself to God. ¹³ Let us therefore no longer judge one another; but judge this rather, not to put a stumbling-block, or an occasion to fall, in a brother's way.

¹⁰ For do I now seek the favor of men or of God? Or am I seeking to please men? If I were still pleasing men, I should not be Christ's servant.

¹ HIM that is weak in faith receive; not for the decision of disputes.
