³⁷ But let your word be, Yea, yea, Nay, nay; for that which is more than these comes of evil.

³¹ And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also in like manner to them.

¹⁶ Therefore do I also myself strive to have always a conscience void of offense toward God and men.

¹⁸ Pray for us; for we are persuaded that we have a good conscience, in all things desiring to deport ourselves well.

¹⁰ For he who desires to love life, and to see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking guile; ¹¹ let him turn away from evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and pursue it. ¹² Because the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are toward their supplications; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.

⁸ Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. ⁹ The things also, which ye learned, and received, and heard, and saw in me, these do; and the God of peace will be with you.

⁹ Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds,

³² and ye shall know the truth, and the truth will make you free.

²¹ for we provide for what is honorable, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
